I'm told Tikal in Honduras is the best place for ruins. And costs a lot less once you get there.

He's setting himself up to take credit for cleaning up the river from what was detailed in The Jungle. Land around the south branch of the Chicago river is being rapidly developed within several miles of downtown, and its only a matter of time til kids are swimming in bubbly creek.

Still looking...

If anyone hears of any job openings or potential opportunities for commercial lit/commercial transaction/franchise law/business torts/etc., I would really appreciate the info. Hell, anything except insurance defense. Actually, if you just want to give me some job-seeker advice, that would be greatly appreciated as well. For example, what would be the best writing sample to use?
Brief? Memo? PM me if you'd like. In return, I can offer the bottle of Tequila Rose that some funny guy/dick brought to my St. Patrick's Day party on Saturday.

Also, please feel free to comment on how much this snow sucks.

Aloha sighting??

Check your local news tonight and you may see me shaking the hand of newly-nominated Democratic US Senate Candidate Barack Obama this morning...

Surprised at how much he won by, but both he and Republican nominee Jack Ryan strike me as impressive. I think we'll be well-served by either of them. Though it would be hard not to vote for Jack Ryan, because he was married to actress Jeri Ryan of Star Trek Voyager and Boston Public fame, and let's face it... she's hot.

Yes, Coltrane, the snow sucks but it will be gone by Fri.

Go Granny Go!!!

Ms. Betty Gooch, the 75-year-old suburban resident accused of bilking over a dozen car dealerships in the Chicago area by getting cars with bad checks, failed to show up for a court hearing on theft charges today.

The judge revoked her bail, and here's the kicker... Her lawyer quit the case today after SHE BOUNCED A CHECK TO HIM, TOO!!

Classic. Granny's on the lam, with her walker and portable oxygen cart.

Taxwonk question

Taxwonk, I am interviewing with a firm I have seen you comment about on this and the other board. I would like to have an offline Q&A with you. Would you please email me (use a throw away email address if you want--I have no interest in you personally)?
