I had them on my wife's subaru. For the first year they were OK but after that they became very very slippery so I installed Dunlops which we are happy with.

First impressions:

• Before tonight, I've only watched clips on You Tube. Clarkson is a little hard to take in an hour-long show. Nine minutes is about right.
• I have a man-crush on James May, mostly since I saw the segment he did about the Triumph TR-6, but then also because of everything else he says and does. I think I would let him stab me in the back.
• I've started to pronounce it "coo-PAY."
• Based on the glimpse you occassionally see on Mythbusters, there is no WAY they could get insurance to do this show in the US. The UK must have better waivers than we do.
• I love Top Gear so much I get a woody whenever someone calls something "rubbish."

That show is about 50 or 60 million times better than MotorWeek. I loved the bit with the Renault Espace and the track bit. I had to turn it off before it was over - did they ever figure out who the well-spoken man was?
