Only one copy was bought. And someone else has rights to it currently. She is not allowed to watch TV until it is completed.

Ah, so you met Michael Ritchie. I'd be impressed. He also directed Downhill Racer and Fletch. He's also been involved in some projects that could count towared your silent belittlement (Fletch Lives, BNB Go to Japan, and other non-sequal atrocities), but, as with penske and his socks, I always judge an artist by his best work.

Please don't refer to Bad News Bears as BNB anymore. It confuses me.

why only one copy? saving up for the wedding? or to pay off the ring?

I went to the bookstore this weekend but resisted buying it. I will wait until the earlier of visiting a household with children or the release of a paperback version.

With the today show and other morning fare populated with people who have already read the entire book, I would think there's a pretty rich secondary market already.

btw, coltrane, what if she's reverse cowgirl while reading, and you happen to have the tv on?

I have an extra (but I won't be able to give you the one I have with all my handwritten comments -- those are GOLD, baby.)

I don't know. I can't explain it, but it would drive me nuts to have two copies. It definitely drives me nuts to buy hardbacks.

A very insightful question, Burger!

Now, I think I have the idea of what reverse cowgirl is, but what's plain-vanilla cowgirl? Can somebody draw me a picture?

Regular cowgirl is woman on top, facing the guy. Reverse is her not facing the guy.

Handwritten comments? Do tell.

ETA if the other person has a broken rib, do I definitely have to be on top?

I'm with you. Two hardcover books in one household would make me feel very uncomfortable.

I imagine turning pages while bouncing up and down would be like patting your head and rubbing your belly at the same time...

You have two? Why? Just to mock me?
