I drive a gas hog. I like it, and I've no intention of ever giving it up (in fact, I'm getting another one this spring). The way I see it, I'm helping get rid of the gas, which will ultimately end the dependency on gas. Lets face it - the only end to oil dependence is to end oil. Its like coke at a New Year's party - nobody's going to stop until the pile's gone. Thats just the way it is.

I'm doing my part. I ask all of you to do the same.

That said, I'd sooner ride a skateboard to work than drive a fucking Hummer. Piece of shit.

Reading about that case I feel sort of inspired to actually go to law school. Does anyone know when the next LSAT is?

You take your car to work, I'll take my board. And when you're out of fuel, I'm still afloat.

[true story]Two 20-something chicks with no ability to carry a tune whatsoever were screaming this song behind me at the show. They broke the silence barrier on the song before or so, and, as tends to be the case, then proceeded to scream the lyrics of every song thereafter until I turned around and said "You know who sings this song even better? That guy [point to stage]." They stopped singing/screaming at that moment.[/true story]

Additionally, as James Watt pointed out, When Jesus comes again, He's not going to ask whether we conserved natural resources - He's going to be pissed that His Father put them there for us and we didn't use them up.

I have to see them before Rivers implodes.

Did you buy the extended version of the Blue Album? Its got a live Surfwax on it and a bunch of solid unreleased stuff. Just buy the extra tunes on Itunes. Well worth it.

The only liberals I love are the ones under my covers, perched between the smooth skin of my inner thighs, making me shout the name of the babyjesuschristsuperstar over and over and over. Yes, its true (and I'm sorry Penske, I really really am): liberal men can fuck circles around my Republican brethren. It's a shameful secret for this right wingnut, therefore post-coitus, I quickly usher them out the back door (over which hangs my double barrel shotgun and dimestore Jesus Christ painting, God Save The People, Me, and You and Yours.)

There is now some Land Rover called the LR3. I drove behind one today. I wondered if they came up with the LR3 thing after Hummer announced the H3. In any event, they advertise less than Hummer, so I'm thinking I won't be the only person who thinks that when they see one of those.

The part you are missing is that once you have more then a couple of kids you need three rows and the SUVs (assuming you don't want a mini van) that have real third rows (not the faux third rows) are not many. Yukons, Suburbans, Hummers, Land Cruisers, Trailblazer Extended version et al.

Not necessarily. The "very political" can be fun if there is a role change. A certain man fka as DK's lover was a massive massive Kumbaya liberal (borderline socialist) who talked liberal politics around the clock, bragged how he was a feminist and acted like a wimpy SNAG (Spiritual New Age Guy -- NTTAWWT) and so I quickly dismissed him as a wimp. Until, that is, he threw me up against the kitchen wall, kissed me hard, and then for the next 4 hours ravaged me skillfully but forcefully. It's the old role reversal thing (the classic: Wall Street guys wanting diapering and spanking during lunchtime). Liberal men can be a nice surprise, especially super political ones.

The part you're missing is the section of the brain responsible for reading comprehension. And you're hearing this from ME - thus, you are terminal.

I said buying a Suburban is fine, buying an LC is fine, but buying a Hummer is not. Buying a Hummer is being not just a douchebag, but a dumb one.

The other part you are missing is that I will be having no more than two children. If I wind up with triplets, we'll roll dice to see which one is sold to the Russian mob.

I get some paper bags because that's where I put the junk mail to take it to the recycling place. Similarly, I get some plastic bags because I use them for the cat litter and as trash bags.

I made my own muesli this weekend. I think that is granolaier than granola.

ETA I don't want to buy a ton of tote bags for the paper. I only do the recycling trip like once every month or two, and that's a lot of junk mail/paper packaging/etc.

If one is walking to/from the store, tote bags that go over the shoulder are much more comfortable for carrying than either paper or plastic.
