Communicating with the reasonable husband of a lunatic wife and reaching an agreement with the incredibly personable husband and having the lunatic wife call her real estate agent who talks to your real estate agent who calls you and gives you a version of facts which is so far from the truth you would laugh if you weren't hormonally inclined to get very upset.

And then having the lunatic wife call her agent back, who talks to your agent, who calls you, and reports that lunatic wife decided to "drop the whole thing," without any admission of the fact that she's a fucking freakhead and that her husband told her to chill the fuck out, she got it all wrong, but rather with an attitude that she is being a bigger person by letting the whole thing go, when the whole thing was all in her head anyway.

Well, you said it like there was something magical about the current dimensions, such that they were worth preserving. There's not. In my lifetime and yours, the left/centerfield wall has been moved in at least three times to make the park more attractive to free-agent, right-handed hitters.
Don't be ridiculous. They moved the wall in to appeal to fans. We overpay right-handed hitters and we win and that's what makes New York attractive. Having to hit a ball 500 feet to get it out of the park is a bit ridiculous, even in the steroid era.

The point is that the field will essentially be the same at the new ballpark. At least it isn't completely new in every regard.

I'd rather have a record with six bad songs and four incredible songs than ten "solid" songs. I'd much rather watch low average home run hitters than guys who slap singles for high averages. Chappelle is like watching a 50 home run a year hitter, or like buying a Zeppelin or Stones record. He's not going to give you the solid B laugh Seinfeld gave you all show long. But when he makes contact, you're going to cry... I mean, literlly break down in tears... laughing. I offer as evidence:

Clayton Bigsby (blacck KKK guy)
Racist animals
The Niggars
The Race Draft
World Championshipn of Dice ("Ashy Larry alone is hysterical)
The Real World Spoof
Great moments in the History of Hook Ups
Rick James

And these are just the few I recall. The man is just pure genius. I can understand why he's having trouble doing new shows. He managed to hit 100 home runs in his first two seasons. He crammed the number of killer laughs a normal sketch show would get over a decade into two years. Blew his wad early.
Agree 100%. The R. Kelly videos and the racial draft sketch put this show on the map. But don't forget "Is Wayne Brady gonna have to choke a bitch?"

In Season 2, the John Mayer/Music Experiment skit actually did make me start crying the first time I saw it. When he pulls out the megaphone . . . cmon man.

That said, for what is by far the best selling TV show on DVD of all time, I could see why one would expect better things on occasion.

I see top sirloin and filet, but not ribeye. And both locations are far from me -- I'm pretty much between them. Damn you. You wouldn't tease a dog like this with steak, why are you doing it to me??

If you know anything about life on an microscopic level, you understand that "animal rights" is a ridiculous concept. It's inherently absurd and logistically impossible to apply. Kill the mosquitos, but save the cute little furry animals, right? Don't get me wrong, inhumane activity towards animals is deplorable, but you kill billions of living things every day.

It's like you've never seen The Lion King.
Which is currently on its second run in Chicago and is abso-fucking-lutely great.

Just in case NFH is coming to town soon.

Jesus, you can't dictate like that to someone, particularly here. Now he's going to use it all damned day. Besides, for all you know, his IRL name is Moishe Goldenfarb.

What do you want the guy to do? Turn shit into gold bullion? He's human, and he just put out the comedic equivalent of the Stones' 67-71 album run (Beggars, Let it Bleed, Sticky, Exile) - in two years! If he got any better, there'd be a case to be made that he was the second coming.

Pacific Dining Car is pretty good most of the time (I've had about 3 good and one lousy meal there) and open 24 hours, but I don't think Fringey's near downtown. Go to Barney's for a steak and eggs.

I woke up this morning at 3:30 a.m. and was coughing, so I went downstairs to load more CDs on my iPod and to play some party poker. I entered a $55 No Limit tournament with 90 players.

Within the first 15 minutes I'd worked my stack from $1,000 to $1,800, and then got dealt AJ of diamonds one from the cut-off seat. An early position better raised the blinds (10-20) to 75, and I called, as did the button and the small blind. The flop came 10-6-2 of diamonds. Preflop raiser bet $175 and I flat-called, as did the small blind. The turn came another 10, preflop raiser bet $250, I rasied to $500, and the small blind went all in. Preflop raiser folded and I called. The fucker had 10-6 suited.

So that left me with about 700 in chips. I worked it up to about 1800 and got busted out with about 30 people in the tournament. I was SB and had J-10 suited. I raised the BB and he put me all in with 3-3. I called and he flopped a set. Awful.

Back to boycotting internet poker. Maybe I'll go to Commerce this afternoon - I won $800 there last week playing 9-18 (when really I just went to watch the Tyson fight).
