The CHOKE of the MILLENIUM

I'm not denying it's true. My point is, that the Yankees are easy to hate, because their success is largely based on their enormous financial advantage over most other teams. They are able to buy the players that they need to be dominant at will, and the attitude that goes with that is unbearable to fans of other teams. I know from what I speak, as my team basically served as their Triple-A club through most of the 70's. It's like rooting for IBM, for God's sake. Besides, it's my birthright to hate the Yankees. |

I don't like wild cards. And I don't like the DH. The presence of the P in the lineup was an important part of the WS games. |

You're going to need to identify the relevant state. And what if I just asked you to take the Bush twins on an embarrassing bender this weekend in a swing state? (Note to all: just kidding. Really. On all counts. Really.) |

God damn those teams were good. Manny, Thome, Albert Belle, Lofton in his prime, Vizquel, David Justice in his prime, Sandy Alomar in his prime, Carlos Baerga (when he was good)...etc etc... How did you not win? |

too much information
Yesterday's horror scene list got me thinking about one that really should be on there. it's a really scary/funny/disturbing involving an actress having trouble with nature.
So trying to find a screen shot of the scene I google for the actresses name. She is a mom who lives about a half mile from me, and I know her/ coached one of her kids/ husband is friend, etc. Other than this movie, not much work in films. A hit comes up from a comic book superhero geek forum. Some idiot teen who also lives near me apparently, is talking about the scene and says he knows her and lives near her. Says he went to school with and dated her oldest daughter/"almost nailed her*"/says the mom is still really hot, and he sees her alot looking through her living room window. Anyway, it must be creepy to be a celebrity. I'm sure she's googled her name and seen this and probably other sicker stuff. So, it seems the internet makes being famous more disturbing. *the daughter is a freshman at NYU in theatre and beautiful. The chances of a guy who posts on comic book forums almost nailing her is really samll. Maybe he spoke with her a few times and in his world that counts as "almost." |

from what you describe, this guy sound like a bit of a user (especially if new girl's ability to help him out professionally really is something that matters to him, and wasn't just a cover), but does he really deserve to be beaten senseless? His real crime is that he didn't protect someone else from heartbreak. Of course he shouldn't have continued to have sex with her after she professed love he knew he wouldn't return, because only a fool wouldn't know that her feelings would continue to deepen and her hopes would continue to rise the more time they spent together, but it really sounds like he only took what she was willing to give, as selfish as that was on his part. But she had her warnings. The moment he said "confused," she should have walked if she wanted to avoid future pain. Once you drop the l-bomb and it's not returned, you bear the risk of heartbreak, and you know you're giving more than you're getting. It's not like he didn't show his selfishness to her. She just (thought she) loved him in spite of it. For the crime of stringing her along without expressly promising anything, somebody should key his car or slash his tires or sign him up on multiple porn sites using his work email or some similar harassment. If, however, he had promised her the moon without meaning it just to keep getting sex and adoration, then I think a maiming would be in order. |
