If she'd listened to lefties, she could have figured out this stuff a few years ago, before Iraq and Katrina pulled the wool from the eyes of people who wanted too badly to believe.
It is remarkable that an article that merely offers President Bush constructive criticism would be deemed as "hating" him.

Then again, the Democrats never see fit to criticize anyone in their party - regardless of their behavior - so I guess it isn't all that surprising.

  • RENO, Nev. (AP) - The Bush administration is relying too heavily on other countries in the international effort to stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons, according to Sen. Harry Reid.

Reid, D-Nev., said the administration should be taking the lead, but instead is relying on Germany, France and Great Britain to convince Iran to end its uranium enrichment program.

"It is hard to comprehend," Reid said Tuesday in Reno. "We should be involved at trying to arrive at a diplomatic solution. ... Not just these three countries."

No, no, look -- they drew one of the characters as a black person. So, see, they aren't racist. Some of their favorite cartoon characters are black.

You don't see a difference between saying that the US should lead -- or at least be involved in -- trying to arrive at a diplomatic solution, and that the US should not start a war without broad international support?

I'm not suggesting that Iran would talk to the US, or that Reid is correct in his criticism, or that a diplomatic solution would work. Just wondering that you view these positions as contradictory.

Son, clearly you don't get "it", and by "it", I mean America. We are a country that fights for what we believe in, whether that be the abilities of Iraqis to be free from Saddam Hussein or the ability of good Southern boys to keep their God-given property when the Yankees want to take it away. And this fiscal prudence that you speak of comes at the expense of tax cuts, and tax cuts, my poor misguided Californian (and by Californian, I mean unAmerican hippie queer), are what America is all about.

And Prosperity? My boy, these have been good years for those of us in oil. Far better than the years with that son of Gommorrah.

I'm not saying he's guilty, but if I have learned anything about the press coverage of the matters I've worked on, it's that the press coverage is worth about what we paid for that ABCNews.com story.
2. I hardly think a camera's time stamp is a piece of unimpeachable conclusive evidence.

This thing is already turning into a low rate Bonfire of the Vanities. Its got all the badges to dredge up all sorts of debates on class and race which really don't belong anywhere near the case.

The case involves a rape. The rest of what those kids did is not a crime and has nothing to do with the case. The only thing that matters is if they sexually assaulted that girl in the bathroom as she alleges. the remainder of the evening is prologue and, unless there was a cover-up afterward, epilogue. Except to the whores in the press, of course, who want to create a nasty, bitter cultural debate out of it.

Fuck the news.

i was going to respond but you did it for me and better. the site test is an easy. since bill clinton left office and with bush as my leader my income has almost tripled, my taxes have gone down and i have an ownership stake in two businesses and house. when bill clinton left office i was not safe from attack by foreign agents in my own country as he let terrorists put down roots from which to launch attacks on our soil but with bush we have taken the fight to the terrorists land and made our own homeland secure.

fairly easy analysis. why are the leftwingers so obtuse? low-self-esteem?

They are not contradictory, but the Europeans wanted the lead and also thought that a US lead negotiation would be counter productive.

Anyhoo, I want to say it has come to my attention that someone has created a sock to impersonate me and that's fucked. Big Thyme! [true story] I had lunch today with a major Republican operative and Bush political appointee and over some wonderful scallop dishes and a glass of '96 Dom Perignon, I made it clear, in no uncertain terms that I broke with the Administration on the above issue, to whit, the proper response would have been for Bush to turn to this Red Chinese Commie Mutherfucker and say, "Mr. Chairman, please note that you have just witnessed something that you cannot see in your country, the rightfully protected exercise of Free Speech" Then Bush should have called the errant Falun Gonger up to the podium and presented her with an ad hoc Medal of Freedom. Needless to say, the Republican operative and I have now officially severed our professional relationship. [/true story].

Today's op-ed piece in WaPo advocates dealing with immigration from Mexico through a massive program in which we provide Mexico with assistance with infrastructure, and Mexico agrees to raise their standards of enviromental, labor, health and safety regs, etc. The result, apparently, is that it would both reduce the incentive for northern immigration, and would create incentives for southern immigration.

It's not the same as annexing Mexico, of course, but it's an interesting thought. Of course, it contains the word "subsidy," though, so it's already politically dead.

spot on analysis hankchinaski. the donkeys are so eager to support anyone but their own country that they would gladly risk another 911 in the name of coddling their terrorist friends.

i wonder though, do they really believe that the islamofacists and their homocide bombers would spare the donkey-infidels after they turned the united states into an islamofacist thugocracy?
