That's how the italians like it, right?

If the cords are red, yes.

Good grief. The man with whom I traveled to Florence bought a really great suit there, but almost didn't because the salesman was wearing orange cords that were waaay too tight and too short with a yellow cord blazer with sleeves that hit about two inches above his wrist. As the salesman took the measurements, he kept stopping the tape at all the wrong places (wink, wink). We had to explain, repeatedly, that the Italian fashion of having everything just a smidge too small wasn't going to work at home. We refrained from pointing out to the salesman that by the way, this particular fashion worked better on younger, much slimmer men than he.

Thankfully, the tailoring was perfect.

I am very confused. Is the question whether the man whom you have reputedly mantrapped is the father of the fetus (or not), or whether you were on vacation with a man other than the man you have mantrapped, who is, without question, the father of the fetus?

I think I may have a fever.

Don't be confused. There was no real question. I was just being a deliberately vague pain in the ass.

P.S. Define mantrapped.

TO is a jackass, no question. And he's an idiot as well. But there are a couple of things that come to mind every time they cover his story and he doesn't open his mouth.

1. Teams cut players all the fucking time. Yez, I know the signing bonuses do an end-around, to a certain extent, the no-guranteed money nature of the business, but they are still at such an advantage, that I never automatically jump on a player when he holds out.

2. TO played his ass off for them last year and played damn well.

3. TO busted his ass to make it back in time for the Superbowl when neither he nor the team could find one doctor that would (i) say he would be ready to play or (ii) clear him to play. When his team needed him most, he worked harder than anyone else to come back and contribute. And he played great.

4. The Eagles made him sign a waiver freeing them from responsibility for playing in the Super Bowl. They essentially said, "We'd love to have you play, but if you hurt yourself, we're not taking any responsibility and you're on your fucking own." He signed it. And he did as much for the team as he did for himself.

5. His salary is below market for the level of player he is. Of course, he might want to take a step back and see that he isn't making what he should be making because he is such a risk to be a pain in the ass. And his latest round of bullshit is why he makes what he does. But, that ain't gonna happen.

If he weren't such an asshole, with a big mouth and ego, who hired another asshole to represent him, he would be in the right, as far as I'm concerned. Now, the bad-mouthing Donovan and not talking to him or his coaches is just inexcusable and a good agent would explain that it won't get him anywhere and makes him look like a fucking prick. But his agent doesn't even know what a fucking prick looks like.

I guarantee you, if Brett Favre (and I couldn't be more sick of the coverage of him and his fucking Hurricaned family) determined he was underpaid and took it to the press after playing injured in the Superbowl, he'd be labeled a warrior and the Salsburies of the world would suck his dick harder and longer than they currently do (if that is even possible).

TM

(And no, I'm not whiffing. I get it. I just wanted to get that off my chest.)

Not that I was in the running, but 2. Plus I'm celibate every two weeks or so.

I do have a nice new golden toy to keep me company those weeks, though.

Amen. Plus, they ask players to re-structure their contracts *all* the time to take less money, and you don't hear washed-up nobodies on ESPN or talk radio ragging the GMs for not recognizing the sanctity of contracts -- "when a real man puts his name on that piece of paper . . ."
