Except for the crap he's been acting in lately, between this and dumping JHo, he's having a pretty good year.

Anyone see the Hollywood Home Game episode with Jennifer Tilley, James Woods, etc? Mr Man and I watched it last night (through the magic of Tivo, of course) and I, frankly, could not believe that the producers allowed Daniel Baldwin to do the show as coked up as he was. He was like a walking Just Say No campaign. I bet his family runs that episode back for him when they stage the intervention.

Maybe this post is more FB appropriate, but I'm leaving it here.

Have to look for this. I usually don't watch those games to avoid picking up bad habits from some of them... Some of the celebs are really good, like Affleck and Lou Diamond Phillips, but some of them are horrible. Fred Willard had no idea how to play the game on one show, his wife had to step in and bail him out.

Was recently directed to this thread by a helpful FBer (hi, NCS!). I had no idea this underground FB poker group existed. I heard rumors of it, but was skeptical.

So, it turns out I will have to download this trupoker software and see what it's all about. I typically play at pokerroom.com, which doesn't require a download (which would let e/o play) and let's you set up private tables. I think it even allows private NL tables, but I'm not sure.

I'll give ya a review/comparison of the two sites when I get a chance. If pokerroom is better, would people be against moving there?

if it lets us set up a private NL room, I'm there.

No preference here. Would prefer a private game if we can get enough people. Lots of the people online play insanely loose.

I would love to play in a private room with all of you. That didn't sound right, but I'll let that stand. MR, let us know. I will still play insanely loose, unless we can agree ahead of time that that loser (which can be the 2-3 players with the least money at the end of a predefined session) has to do something abhorent on the Boards. Just so there's some sense of consequence to our actions.....

the other thing that we could do if it was a private room is agree to start at the same time, with the same starting amount and play until there is one winner (no rebuys or limited rebuys). tournament style. the winner is poker king or queen of the boards until dethroned.

Could I bring all my fake money from the other site?

I didn't get a chance to compare the two systems yet, but I can already tell you pokerroom.com doesn't have as many bells and whistles. It's a streamlined interface. No custom avatars or anything like that.

When you join a table, the max amount of money you can start with, in most cases, is $1000. It prevents people with large bankrolls from buying every pot.

Mister_Ruysbroeck 07-01-2004 09:04 PM

OK, I much prefer pokerroom.com and it DOES let you create private, NL play money tables. Plus, no software to download. It can be played on any operating system. It's a javascript interface that's much more intuitive than the truepoker system. I suggest checking it out.

I decided to change up my name a little and went with the apropos name Mister_Shark.

I've made a private table there called Mister_Shark's HE, if anyone gets a chance. I'll be playing for a little while tonight on the main tables, but if anyone hops on, take a look and see if the table's still there.

Either way, why don't you all check out the site and the interface and let me know what you think.

Any of you fuckers check that site out? I can't play this weekend, but I think it's time to set up another tourney.

This fucker was busy taking care of his kid, but will check it out this weekend so he can play with all you other fuckers sometime later.

I wouldn't mind playing with you fuckers either, if you don't mind having another newber in the fold. (Ha! I kill me!) Pokerroom looks like a pretty decent site.
