I hope the Eagles refuse to trade him and then sit him down for the whole season. Don't even let him dress for the games. That would be a thing of beauty. It's actually sad, because TO was truly beloved by Eagles fans at the end of last season, and now I'm pretty solidly certain that he's reviled.
Andy Reid should have expected this type of behavior- does he not read the paper? Watch Sportcenter? He could have just picked up a phone and called Mariucci.

That said, it's really too bad because he's really good but man is he hard to take.

OOOOH, I have bile for Julie Chen. Especially when she says the word "Houseguests". Hate her. Yeah, Jennifer Love Hewitt is just someone way past her sell by date, plus she played Audrey Hepburn and put out an album. WTF? And her name is ridiculous, but Julie Chen is the worse. And I think she may be a homewrecking piece of shit to boot.

Gwyneth Paltrow inspires channel changing in me. As does Madonna with the fake british accent.

Hard to say. They played most of the playoffs without him. I still like the Eagles chances without TO. I might not like them as much, but I'll still be wearing green all season.

The beautiful thing is that there is a clause in TO's contract (which is apparently standard in all Eagle's contracts) which allows the Eagles to recoup something like $1.75 million of his $2.5 million signing bonus if the team determines conduct detrimental to the team.

I think they are a playoff team without him (like they have been for the past several years) but they don't get back to the bowl without him. And they definitely lose by a lot more in the Superbowl had he not played.

For all the things you can say negative about him and his effect on a team, the guy is a stud.

As I remember being told back in my high school lacrosse days "There is no I in team."

TO's a great football player. He's even a good person compared to a lot of pro athletes... (no children out of wedlock, no trouble with the law, no steroids, etc.). But he's forgotten that it's a TEAM sport.

Do I want to see the Eagles back in the Superbowl? Hell, yeah. As you know, this year's Superbowl was one of the top ten days of my life. But I'm not sure that TO's as important to that goal as he seems to think he is. As I recall, the team that actually won the Superbowl last year (and the 2 years prior) did so without a star receiver.

One the few movies I can think of where they felt compelled to hire a token white guy. Can anyone else explain Judd Nelson's presence?

It had a great soundtrack and some decent quotes.

"Rockabye, baby."

"I'm not guilty. *You're* the one that's guilty. The lawmakers, the politicians, the Columbian drug lords, all you who lobby against making drugs legal. Just like you did with alcohol during the prohibition. You're the one who's guilty. I mean, c'mon, let's kick the ballistics here: Ain't no Uzi's made in Harlem. Not one of us in here owns a poppy field. This thing is bigger than Nino Brown. This is big business. This is the American way."

"You gotta rob to get rich in the Reagan era."

Now that's unintentionally deep.

I have to admit to admiring his attitude towards his employers:

"Owens told reporters he had not spoken to the team.

'Why would I talk to them? They gave me a week off,' he said."

How many games did your high school lacrosse team win?

I understand your point, but you seem to be saying that they are as good without him, which they aren't. Philly seems to be one of those teams that is always a piece or two away, up until last year.

What I said was that, in my opinion, both TO and Donovan realised that this was their last shot to prove that their lackluster performance in prior seasons really was about what they said it was... TO always said "I could be a truly great receiver if I had a truly great QB" and Donovan always said "I'd be a world class QB if the team got me a world class receiver." And actually, I think they both proved that they are right.

I actually believed that TO would be happy in Philly because he would win and be adored by the crazy fans in Philly and he would win. I believed (naively) that the winning mattered to him. I was wrong.

I'll say that again. I was wrong. Boy oh boy, was I wrong.

Like I remember? That was an eternity ago.

And that's not what I am saying. But they're still a damn good team without him, and certainly a better team without him this season than they would be with him on the team and acting like an ass.
