Not so for those of us who have proudly nailed our colours to the mast. No coward's life for us. "Pimm's!" we cry, "Pimm's!!" Hurrah!

I have no doubt you are well acquainted with the smell of fear, although I doubt you are able to notice it, much like a fish does not know it is wet. As for your nailing colours to masts, I am glad you are at least getting some form of release. But when it comes to your proposed cocktail of choice, I suggest you try to come up with something with a little more . . . mystery. I think you need to remove yourself from the crushing greyness that comes from a life of endlessly droning away into a telephone headset about ghastly and demoralizingly unimportant facets of never-to-be consummated corporate transactions. Your lifeless eyes and sunken pallor leap all too readily from each of your posts.

as to your ability to protect the future trends of television shows, I've got one question: do you have a case of Pisco in your basement? Admit. It.

I think you mean "predict" and not "protect." Or is that just another derivation from a Chinese symbol?

more importantly, how old was Reggie the last time he broke your heart?

Yes. And he will think he'd rather define that career in New York where the platform for anything he wants to do outside the sport will guarantee its success.
agreed this is strongest NY argument.

Good God. Why do I even talk basketball with you? Jordon? Really?
Jordon with no rings is still the best ever? He is the best ever because he hit shots to win the rings.

That's why we will sign Bosh or Stoudemire (who will be desperate to rejoin D'Antoni) also.

I was making dumars' pitch. he cleared space for something.

"hank can't spell" jokes are lamer than Pisco sours.

Anything with Elderflower, pomegranate, cucumber or ginger appears to qualify in the local trenderies.

I'm not making fun of him. I'm stating that he is old and not a reason why LeBron would put Detroit at the top of his wish list.

That question is irrelevant. How old was he the last time he won a championship?

"Jordon" is actually spelled J-O-R-D-A-N. I don't understand how anyone over the age of 6 spells that wrong.

No question he'll make a run. And I think he's an excellent GM. But he cleared space for whoever New York doesn't land (and he probably won't even get that--Lebron chooses Cleveland over Detroit and Wade chooses Miami over Detroit).

damn. my son actually plays against Jordan Dumars. typing/brain disconnect.

as to where he'll land we shall see. he didn't need much from cleveland, but he never got it, and I do see him going somewhere where he can see the rings as being a pretty sure bet.

You don't think he will be in a position for multiple championships with any other non-guard 2010 big free agent the Knicks now have room to sign?

Maybe it is not a winter drink, however. I am willing to split the honors between winter and summer if someone has a suggestion.

One of the joys of being old is that I needn't worry about what is hip. I can stick to the classics. Martini or Basil Hayden in the winter; gin and tonic or margarita in the summer. Much like khakis and penny loafers, the 40s-60s have much to commend themselves aesthetically.

Yes. he is in position for championships with just about any team he goes to, but he also knows it is possible for a team to fuck up and not put the bodies he needs around him. Right now it isn't that hard to sell against the Knicks (and Walsh, the Pacers had lots of talent over the years) as possibly fucking up like Cleveland. Although, over the next few years, what the LeBron needs to get to the top might get to be even less, and Walsh wil have some time to prove himself.

One of my neighborhood bars sells a specialty drink called the Plymouth Punch -- Plymouth, tonic, grapefruit juice and Calvados. I can't wait for this to be my next summer drink, so I'm having it in the fall also.
