And percocet is the only thing that makes it possible to face the prospect of oral surgery.
I'm fairly certain my wisdom teeth have grown into my brain. The pain is probably from their taking root in my frontal lobe. If I start typing non-responsive gibberish some day, call me an ambul...

Fuck it.

Off to the emergency room...

Yes, I know. See: My policy re: inconsistency.

* Who am I kidding? I'll get hit by a bus not paying attention to traffic signals leaving a bar, listening to my Ipod.

*** I make an exception for xanax when people give it to me, but never percoset or vicodin or any of that crap. That shit's a waste of time.
I was wondering more about the intense waves thing, but whatever.

Alas, they have not yet diagnosed whatever causes it in me. Probably a genetic defect.

We added the Paul Anka version of Eye of the Tiger to our softball team's warm-up playlist. We've sort of given up on being good, so we decided to scare the other teams through our bizarre dugout antics.

I'm playing catcher right now, and the umpire was asked me last night how we know each other. I said we were all in the arts. "what sort of art?" "avant garde naked shit." He stopped asking questions after that.

That's the second time I've heard that today. And I didn't think Slave even played softball.

Tonight's Big Brother episode might have been my favorite Big Brother episode ever. Hell, it might have been my favorite modern-era-competition-reality-show episode ever.

How brilliant is my man Kaysar? Sheer fuckin genius. And I think Howie and Rachel were absolutely right to get on board.

This headline from the Philadelphia Inquirer this morning:
"Hot. Hot. Not. The oppressive heat is slowing people's pace. But relieve is in sight."

It's hotter up there than it is here in Florida at the moment. All of us in the Sunshine State are laughing at you.

  • Chelsea's finger for 40 goats

A Kenyan official has attempted to win the hand of Bill Clinton's daughter by offering him 40 goats and 20 cows.

Chelsea Clinton was offered the animals as a traditional African dowry by Godwin Kipkemoi Chepkurgor who wrote to the former president via Kenya's foreign affairs minister.

The love struck electrical engineering graduate said: "Had I succeeded in wooing Chelsea, I would have had a grand wedding.

"I would have invited Archbishop Desmond Tutu to preside at the ceremony."

He added that he would be willing to travel to the US to meet Chelsea and her family and was looking forward to meeting Hillary Clinton, who he admired for standing by her man through the Monica Lewinksy scandal "like an African woman".

The man also gave the names of former Kenyan president Daniel Arap Moi and two of his college buddies as character references.

Chelsea is reported to have been flattered by the offer.

Any politcally aware American can see the problem with the guy's offer. Clinton is about immediate gratification. an offer tied directly to Big Macs or kebobs would have received more serious consideration, I bet.

I would think a "goats-only" offer is more polite than offering cows.

But no cows? You would think that sharing some genetic traits (I assume) with "Miss Toronto Legs" would be worth at least an Elsie or two.

Apropos of nothing, I find myself wondering how my beloved Blueshirts will be able to survive under the new financial requirements. They've got some seriously big contracts for some somewhat underperforming talent out there.

If I were Bobby Holik or Darius Kasperitus, I'd be worried about getting into a Town Car with Jersey plates for a ride to the airport.
