Where Were The Cries For Proportionate Response There?

  • BERLIN (Reuters) - Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told European leaders to stop preaching to him about civilian war casualties in an interview published on Sunday in German newspaper Welt am Sonntag.

Olmert also said it would not be possible to completely destroy Hizbollah and insisted he did not underestimate them, saying they had fired just 3,000 of their arsenal of 15,000 rockets so far.

"Where do they get the right to preach to Israel?" Olmert said when asked about criticism from European capitals of Israeli military operations that have led to a heavy civilian toll.

"European countries attacked Kosovo and killed ten thousand civilians. Ten thousand! And none of these countries had to suffer before that from a single rocket.

"I'm not saying it was wrong to intervene in Kosovo. But please: Don't preach to us about the treatment of civilians."

Western Europe is a rotten and defeated society. We should have let Hitler have it, including Britain. Either way, the whole unhygienic, immoral, leftwing bunch of them can burn in hell with their allies in Hezbollah and Al Qaeda and the UN.

Good riddance.

vive l' 2nd Amendment*!

In the last year, 15 states have enacted laws that expand the right of self-defense, allowing crime victims to use deadly force in situations that might formerly have subjected them to prosecution for murder.

Supporters call them “stand your ground” laws.

“In effect,” Professor Sebok said, “the law allows citizens to kill other citizens in defense of property.”.......“I have a right,” Mr. Allen said, “to keep my house safe.”

Right on. Almost makes me want to move to Florida. Almost. Hopefully my state will see the light and acknowledge the broad expanse of my natural rights to protect me and mine. In the meantime I will continue to stockpile the armoury. Bang! Pow!

*the only amendment that really counts.

Don't say no to Joe!

I feel it's starting to trend. I feel good. I got my absentee ballot in this weekend and also filled out and sent in absentee ballots for several "mentally incapacited" family members'. Between now and then I intend to shuttle back and forth between a local synanagogue and church, praying for Lieberman's victoury!~

My only little quibble's with Joe is that I am not sure why he is associating with drunken lecherous Kennedy wingman Dodd and al-Qaeda sympathiser Cleland, but I guess it's true that politics makes strange bedfellas.

These are good laws in theory, but they're going to make a huge mess for prosecutors.

Or maybe not. The people who'll be killed by those overreaching under these laws aren't the sort anyone will miss.

My bet is some bottom feeding plaintiff lawyer will crack the constitutionality of the provision barring people from suing for damges inflicted by overzealous "ground-standing."

IMO, you try to steal from someone, you take the risk of losing your life.

Europe killed all those civilians in Kosovo without even waiting for Kosovo to obtain rockets that it could launch at Europe. So where does Europe get off lecturing to Israel?

Exactly. I warn my neighbours all the time to keep their friggin garbage bags off my property. A little firepower might bring home the point more decisively.

The EU's admonishment of Israel would certainly have been supported by such illustrious European leaders as Hitler, Mussolini and Franco, evidencing the moral underpinnings of these states and their predominant culture.

Mel Gibson is with the Euros on this one too!

Clearly it was just another case of European genocide.
