"Intermediate destination" is an oxymoron, so that's not much help. Nice as the cities are, Atlanta, DFW, Houston, Chicago, Detroit and Minneapolis are not destinations. They are layovers, hubs, stops, whatever. But not destinations, except for those getting off the plane. A destination is the place you're going, not a location you happen to pass through on your way. You're either at your destination or you're not.

But maybe you're getting all quantum on me, and want to tell me about your infinity of intermediate destinations.

The sex was really, really good. Like, the best sex I've ever had with anyone on the first go round. And I'm really, really giddy that he's coming to see me in four days.
Four days? You mean I wasn't the only one? I no longer have any reason to live.

while we're on the topic, is anyone's destination something other than their "final destination"?
Ever taken a connecting flight?

Not on a Monday morning. That would be heavy, and instead I need to content myself with mental images of German porn.

You need to lighten up

Raphael Palmiero gets a spanking.

NEW YORK - Rafael Palmeiro was suspended Monday for violating Major League Baseball’s steroids policy, nearly five months after telling Congress that “I have never used steroids. Period.”

Which brings to mind other famous quotes beginning with "I have never..." or "I did not..." or I am not..."

I decided to bring it back. Just too much effort to come up with something else. Not really accurate, but I couldn't come up with a change as clever as displaced/replaced texan. Suggestions are welcome.

It's been quite a few months. Let's just say I feel great sympathy for cuckold. But I'm optimistic about the future and a new relationship.

I just cancelled the flight, and EVERY email ended with "Remember, I am happily married."

Ew. That reminds me of this HBO show called "Sex for Real" or something like that. It was pretty gross, and included such highlights as some "sex convention" or something for hippies where you'd be treated to a view of a bunch of aging granola types sitting around naked. Uh... no thank you.

Anyway, another segment showed some German dudes talking about their grooming habits. One of them said (in heavy German accent), "I like to shave my own scrotum".

That sentence made me laugh so hard, I have never forgotten it. I don't know if that show is still on the air, but if it is, I'd be amazed -- it was so dumb!
Because "own" is redundant?

Wonder Woman fans

Lynda Carter says that Sandra Bullock is too old (she is) and so is Catherine Zeta-Jones (she is too).

Quote:

Lynda Carter, who played the super hero on TV, thinks that so. The “Miss Congeniality” star Bullock recently turned 41, and has been mentioned to play a big screen version of the role Carter played on the small screen, but Carter thinks she’s over-the-hill. Carter also believes that Catherine Zeta Jones, who is 35, is too long-in-the-tooth.
But she doesn't say who would be a good match. I can't think of who would be good in this role. I only know who would suck - people like Jessica Simpson, Lindsey Lohan - all the women of that ilk. But I can't think of who would make a good wonder woman.

I know some of you guys are huge fans of this comic. Who would you pick?

No. I can cut the guy some slack, as he's not a native speaker. I think it was a combination of the accent and the absurd subject matter. (He sounded like Dieter.)
