On that note, ladies please be careful about those pokies at the gym. It makes it very hard to concentrate.

Apr...uh, by the by, I wear wingtips. Note to Young Mister Coltrane - ease dont tell me that you wear those chunky squared toe shoes to court. Unless, pace David Boies, you are trying to look like a doofus to a jury.

(and he wears Alden at home, I am told - while honey-limbed lovelies* hand him only the finest of flouresent yellow highlighters for his outlines)

*"Beautiful Girls" is a fine movie.

Speaking of Man-Haters, there is a story in the Globe today headlined Mall Santa Charged with Groping Female "Elf" that I find highly disturbing. Why in the world would you put quotes around "Elf" but nothering else in that headline? I would posit that it is more likely the gropee is an Elf than that the groper is a Santa. Does calling him a Mall Santa put imaginary air quotes around Santa because he is a Santa of the Mall and not a Santa of the North Pole? Or, did the real beard get them, so they trust it is more likely that real Santa is a groper than that some eighteen year old with a sore ass is an actual Elf. This really disturbs me. Is anyone OK with this?

Is the "Elf" "hot"?

When did pinching an ass become "'groping'"?

I imagine someone hired as an elf would be slim-hipped and small breasted. For evolved guys, like you and me, that is only part of the hotness equation. Most of these others socks here I'm afraid follow the standards of the "Top 20" daily models, though, so they'd say "no."

how you know you're in trouble as a patent attorney- you're on a phone call with some brainiac trying to understand his invention and he starts with, "let's go to the flowchart, I speak better flowchart than english."

I just spent 140 minutes on the phone with some patent attorneys, and I am never, ever going to get those minutes back.

Mall Santa. Those two words alone scare the crap out of parents everywhere. The bug-eyed drooling drunk with a week's worth of patchy beard and a real belly that shakes like a bowl full of jelly. The one who just got out of Stateville last week and got the job because his PO's brother-in-law is a manager at Sears and the State's lag in data entry is about 2 years.

"Elf" is code as well. Yes, Flower she is hot. Very hot. If she were less hot the headline would read "Ex-Con Assaults Coworker at Shopping Town."

No, It was earlier than that. I think it was around 1977. Whenever it was that Love, American Style was canceled.

That's cold. You may the guy sound like a patent lawyer.
