In the Web's primordial era, there was a website called The Dysfunctional Family Circus that took Bil Keane's artwork and added user-generated captions that made the cartoon seem much more sinister, with themes ranging from incest to worse. It was consistently the funniest stuff then on the Internet, as neither The Onion nor fark.com had been invented yet. It was discontinued when Bil Keane made an apparently heartfelt personal appeal to the webmaster (as we called them then, you see). There was an outcry from the sick-and-twisted fan base, but the proprieter said no one would be so heartless as to continue after hearing what Keane said privately to him, but he refused to elaborate.

Congratulations -- you have made me wonder what Bil Keane thinks of Nietzsche, and I guarantee the circumstances that could have brought that about were limited in number.

hmmm, well he isn't keeping up the standards he set with his early work.

the Craig's list killer- the story about him dressing as a mammogram machine ("put your breasts in here...") for Halloween is being pitched like it shows how weird he was, but I sort of find that clever, like at a college party that would be a great move, wouldn't it?

ETA: I didn't realize he was on The Office -- I just thought Hank had seen the zillion commercials for his new movie Obsessed and actually noticed someone other than Ali Larter and Beyonce.
