I'm not pointing fingers here or anything, but we collectively suck at picking who is going to die. I'm ashamed of us.
Cocaine is a helluva drug.

So, I get a message in my main e-mail account today, saying that because there have been a bunch of identity theft attempts with Citibank accounts lately, and directing me to click on a link to update my account information. It has a Citibank logo in it, and no obvious typos. The link looks legit (citibank.com), etc., but when I copy and paste it, I get this (do not click on this!): http://%36%34%2e%31%36%33%2e%31%39%3...5%78.%68%74%6D

And when I copy the body of the e-mail message, I get this:

in 1986 NBA Software Ellis Island in 1946 Tatiana Grigorieva I have got The US Open cup of tea We've been cut off Can you help me? Angelia Jolie in 1821 in 1997 in 1997 FreeNet Star Wars in 1805 Alyssa Milano in 1906 DMX late night SI Swimsuit Issue in 1917 Teletubbies

They're getting trickier.

Citibank, Fleet Bank and US Bank imposters have all sent me these messages, although I do not have Fleet or US Bank accounts. I think even just clicking on the link can send some information back, so you shouldn't click on it at all.

I get this type of phishing message from "PayPal" all the time. Looks like paypal, etc., but is liked to another domain.

There was a fake earthlink message going around about credit card verification for people with earthlink accounts.

Last week, one of the spammers started sending a "you have a virus click on this zip file and it will be gone" messages to everyone in my company from "admin@mycompany'sdomain"

In an unprescedented move, no one in my company fell for it.

PB x-post. The Affleck thing makes it relevant here, I'm thinking. From Wonkette:

http://www.wonkette.com/images/mmmm2.jpg

Once again, the parties must face each other down in the traditional campaign baby-eating contest. While Affleck is clearly more enthusiastic about the task, Bush, out of habitual Texan one-upmanship, eats the first of two babies, and goes about it with the sober professionalism we've come to expect from this wartime president.

I believe that you are having some avatar issues today. Or maybe it is self editing issues, considering I have been thinking the same thing as you...

Well god bless you Mr. Man, at least you are honest. Other shallow males on the board have not exactly rushed to my defense, though I know that they are just as shallow as me. At least I can admit that I will put up with annoying behavior as long as I can stare at some tits.

The rest of you can just bite me.
