Edited to add: Cool new music group making waves around LA - The Ditty Bops. They sound just like their name suggests. I'm partial to their song "Wishful Thinking."

That song is real catchy. Are you a Kingston Trio fan?

There you go again, preaching of tolerance, as per usual. You're right up there with Ashcroft in your live and let live.

Namaste.

Beautiful Girls

Promise of a better day. Promise of a greater hope. Promise of a new tomorrow. This particular aura can be found in the gait of a beautiful girl. In her smile, in her soul, the way she makes every rotten little thing about life seem like it's going to be okay. The supermodels, Willy? That's all they are. Bottled promise. Scenes from a brand new day. Hope dancing in stiletto heels.

That's me, except w/out the vagina and stiletto heels.
I loved that movie.

This post is off the WHIFF scale.

SAd.

We can only speculate its too much time hanging out with slave and his shaved down crew of fratboys.
In retrospect, we feel we were unduly caustic to old Bobber. We would like to give him props for reposting a vintage BotD. In response to a chris post no less (no pun). Well done! Brava!!!

But the fact that old retreads are mainly more entertaining than the new stuff does not bode well for things. Perhaps ncs or somebody can recruit some of the old talent. We miss Litingrate for example. We even miss JRUSS. Who knew?

But do not confuse our nostalgia for the past with settling for just any old old school reference. For example, we think the "It's All About Me" title of the board sucks. Does the person who posted it even know the genesis of the never-that-great-in-the-first-place saying?

I've seen a number of anti-Buxh stickers on pickup trucks in Dallas recently. Not sure if I'm just hanging in the effete libral areas of Dallas, or what. In any event, yesterday I saw a truck with the following stickers:

"Jesuit"

and

"Fuck Bush"

I saw a bumper sticker this morning that read

"Join the MOB: Mothers Opposing Bush"
www.mob.org

Only the Mothers Opposing Bush and the website were really small and I nearly rear-ended the mother while trying to read what this Mob thingy was all about.

I saw "Bush/Cheney: I can't wait to vote" on a Tundra or something. What the fuck is the point of that?

I have never heard a louder cheer for a band than at the end of a PS set.

They ran a few minutes into the adjacent band's time and 30,000 people waiting to hear Jack Johnson lost their minds when that shit finally ended.

It was so horrible, I think we stayed for three minutes.

Sweetie, is your brain on pause? If not, then how DARE you lump the people who care in to the category of the dullarsds who are out to bring down the contnet level of the board.

Because we care, we have chastised those who are potentially the funniest best posters for tossing away their talents. Our critiques are legit. We could say look in the mirror, but you would be unable to see a relfection of past greatness like say Thurgreed, Bilmore or even slave (although that was so long ago who knows if it was perhaps the mojitos talking).

Instead, you would see some watered down version of a midlevel poster long gone, like ThrashersFan or pursejunkie,
Actually, we forgot about purse junkie -- a testament to her Not Midlevelness but we cannot all agree on everything. However, we will concede that she was a muse for the last of Thurgreed's great work and for that, she is missed by us. We visualize her sprawled on a metallic bed in the mid Connecticut fertility center, getting ready for some In Vitro Fertilization action with the frozen splooge of the long castrated Mr. Purse Junkie, Because we care, we send our best in that endeavor and we look forward to little baby purse junkies (probalby twins, as that is how the In Vitro tends to take)), posting our way in the future, long after Bilmore, Kafka and AEP have passed into that distant night.

We do agree that Not Bob can be pointlessly festive. We also feel that if fringe had as many eggs as she did posts, she might never become a true spinster.

We aren't fooled for a minute. Why not just ask the boy if he is gonna wed his intended and find out once and for all whether you have a chance?

And because we care, we would like you to drop the stupid "accents" like the Elmer Fudd and the Thai woman thing. We are not beeg beeg fans of it. You could do better. Don't be a Flower.

You have an incomplete sentence here. Only a subject, no verb.

Unless you are channelling, in which case I suggest more typos in order to be more convincing.
