Please excuse the editorial comment, but I still am taken aback by admissions like this. In the present time socking has become about equivalent to child molestation. It's seen as an admission of lack of the intellectual strength to post in your own voice. None of the present day posters would ever admit to socking, and other than the lowest of the low they would not sock.

I mean this not as an insult at Penske, for his unfortunate condition is but an outgrowth of his times I suspect.

I would make reservations sooner rather than later. I have a feeling all long-term residency hotels even vaguely within travelling distance of NO are going to fill up pretty fast.

That said, my parents lived in a Residence Inn for 4 months after a housefire. They came through relatively unscathed, though my mother was trying to have dinner parties back in the house before the electricity was back on.
