Ode to Dave
Oh Dave:
You constantly change your avatar And other key aspects of your profile Keeping it witty for LawTalkers readers Who admire Dave Foley, And know that Wannstadt is a bitch (but nevertheless have laid the wood on his Fish to win big tomorrow over Herm and the J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets). Why do you do it? What drives your relentless devotion to famous Daves? Who's to say? Who's to say. Perhaps one day We'll log on to our favourite site And see sporty Daves Like Kingman or Brown or musical Daves Like Grohl or Navarro Or that guy Dave Shapiro who went to my school Oh what a tool, worthy of your mocking Until that day We're stuck with the soon-to-be-ex-head coach Of the Miami Dolphins I remember when He got hired away from the Cowboys To go coach Chicago It was just before the Super Bowl But it didn't bother Dallas one bit They still whooped up on the Bills Who hadn't any Daves of note. |
PLF doesn't appear to be a hard-core criminal, just stupid.

Brand Name Babies
In 2000, the social security administration reported quite a few kids named for brand names. The names sound odd, and their use crass.
Girls: Lexus, 353; Armani, 298; Chanel, 269; Infiniti, 25; L'Oreal, 21. Boys: Armani, 273; Cartier, 22; Dior, 7; Timberland, 6; Guiness, 5. |

Sad thing for the kids is imagine the inferiority complex little Lexus is going to have driving around in a Saturn. I see lots of prozac in these kids futures. |

Nigerian Scam
Ever wonder how far the email Nigerian scams could play out?
http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/htm...0_scam290.html This is so sad, but I wonder how anyone so dumb could have gotten to this point in life without being robbed earlier. Quote:

To answer your question, you, my dear. |
Another actual fashion question...
I tried to find the answer on the Stalin board's archives, but I could not locate it. New Year's event is "black tie optional". I've attended "black tie" events before, and this "optional" thing always pisses me off. Sequels wants me to wear a tux.* I want to wear a black suit
*I don't own a tux. I've been thinking about buying one. Folks on the Stalin board said to not buy a 2 or 3-button coat, but I look damn good in the 3-button. Will it go out of style that quickly? |

At a certain age (and I guarantee that you've reached it), a man should own a tuxedo. If you look good in a 3 button, buy it. If it goes out of style, buy a new one. You are not meant to buy one tuxedo for the rest of your life. Buy one you like for now. Best solution. Buy a tuxedo. Sequels will be happy, you can count the $150 you would have spent on a rental tux to make her happy as a discount off the tux you buy today, and you'll never have to wear rented formal wear again. |
