The virgin sacrifice discussion reminds me that the other day, my six-year-old son asked me what a virgin is. (Now, for you pervs out there -- this means YOU TM -- who think this is creepy or somehow inappropriate, allow me to digress a moment and explain how this came up: He and I were walking through Grand Central Station on Friday and he was looking at the constellations of the zodiac that are painted on the ceiling. He asked what the other zodiac symbols are, and who in our family is what sign, etc. One of his grandfathers is a Virgo, and he asked what Virgo's symbol is. OK, pervs? Is that innocent enough for you?!?!?). I told him it was a symbol of purity. I didn't feel like having a sex discussion with my six-year old, but then again, maybe I just should have said something a little more technical.

A helpless, defenseless bunny rabbit lost its life this weekend at my hands. I swear I tried not to hit it, and I thought it made it across the road before I drove by, but a later autopsy showed that cause of death was smushing by Ford Explorer. Witnesses placed my Ford Explorer in the vicinity at the time of death. The examiner (my brother) delighted in tormenting me about the bunny rabbit death for the extended weekend.
