Classic DC Weather Forecast

Maybe it amuses only me, but Bob Ryan's forecast last night was as follows:

5% chance of a dusting to an inch of snow
50% chance of freezing rain in the afternoon
90% chance that schools will be closed.

Must be nice to be represented. This is what DC delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton's website says:

She had something like 2000 requests the first day. She gets an allocation, but it's not 2000.

Yeah, I was mostly joking. There is no way she will be able to fill all requests.

The thing to do is find a friend in the most republican district possible from as far away from DC as possible, and get that person to get you tickets. It's no surprise Norton is swamped--bus/metro fare is a lot less than plane fare from Houston (or anywhere)

that's sort of how I got Olympic tickets. Hint: the Chinese had the better seats.

Notwithstanding my Obama vote, if Bush had won a third term I would have been golden on the golden tickets!

Not sure. To me its the DC specific substantive board. Given my long history with DC and its legal and socio-political community I know I am here, but you seem out of place. No offence.

the fear most of us have, especially here at a mid-choke point in the regional boards, where your name still sits as a reminder of the fecta days, when you almost single handedly killed this forum, is that you'll revert, or already have. we all wonder about your loyalty and interest in a substantive DC board post.
