It was the only major movie with an adult guy masturbating to an issue of Teen Beat, I believe.
Did you make sure you got the NC-17 version?

Runner up to Happiness for fucked up sizable budget flick is Bad Lieutenant. Kietel is such a fucking freak. The NC-17 version of that is off the deep end.

Oh, and check out Gummo. I have no fiucking idea what its about, but its disturbing and addictive.

The Washington Post reported that the deputy coroner said the case was "not black or white. Nature is infinite in her manifestations. This case is unique in my experience. We haven't put down a final diagnosis or conclusion as to sexuality."
Yeah. She's a man, baby.

He said the Nazis forced him into the ruse.
All that to come in fourth?

hmmm

The Cal Sup Ct has invalidated the San Francisco gay marriages. Rosie O'Donnell will be so bummed.

The court, however, did not resolve whether the California Constitution would permit a same-sex marriage, ruling instead on the narrow issue of whether local officials could bypass California’s judicial and legislative branches. Lawyers for the state and a Christian legal organization that filed the pair of cases challenging the mayor’s decision had asked the court to nullify the disputed marriage licenses if it found that Newsom’s action was unlawful.

The ruling “is important, but it will not resolve whether same-sex couples have the right to marry and be treated equally under our state constitution,” Jennifer Pizer, a lawyer with the Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund, a gay rights legal aid group, said before the ruling Wednesday.

wedding question

If a wedding has been called off twice, is it safe to not send gifts when the bride announces that wow, they got back together and have been secrently dating, and isn't love funny and anyhow, they're now headed to Vegas this weekend to finally get married?

Don't you have like a year to send a wedding gift? I'd hold off.

Olympic etiquette

What do you think about the US Olympic team getting etiquette lessons on how to behave when they win? I'm of two minds about the whole celebration thing - I didn't get what the problem was when the US relay team celebrated and the Australians played air guitar. It's kind of fun and not offensive. If someone pulled a cell phone out on the podium or really started taunting or didn't show respect for the anthem, that seems excessive.

I think these etiquette lessons are kind of silly.

I held off for my friends Mike and Jim, who got married in San Francisco six months ago. That was a good call.

I'll probably send them a "sorry your marriage got voided" present instead.

Or you could send them the Official ACL Schedule Grid. Hot off the press.

Congratulations, Sidd. You won without the unseemly PR campaign.
Once again, the more qualified candidate is ignored just because of a nice set of ta tas. Damn you Sidd, damn you to hell.

I haven't seen Happiness, but if it was rather pointless like the Dollhouse, I don't know that the analogy is an apt one. Keitel's Bad Lieutenant is a truly despicable character, and his death is deserved, no doubt. However, when he puts the kid on the bus at the end of the movie with enough cash to have saved his own life, he finds the redemption that he knows in his darkest reaches he doesn't deserve.

The Bad Lieutenant is 12 years old. It's not like you were dying to see it if you haven't by now. But I'm sorry if I ruined it for you.

p.s. At the end of Finding Nemo, they find him.
