I could eat 5. Probably not 7.

I ate 10 hot dogs at a Cubs game once. On a bet, of course.

Apropos of nothing, I was the guy in court who Sebby would have made fun of today. I came into the office wearing khakis and a short-sleeve shirt (golf shirt), brown belt and brown shoes...and was immediately told that I needed to cover something for a partner. Well, the suit that is normally hanging on my door was being cleaned. I only had a grey suit jacket, a white dress shirt and a tie hanging on my door. This line from Pulp Fiction properly describes how I looked in court:

The Wolf: You guys look like... What do they look like, Jimmie?
Jimmie: Dorks. They look like a couple of dorks.
My college roommate used to eat a half-dozen inside 10 minutes, easy.

There are approximately 2.5 donut holes to a donut (I know -- that seems low, but that's what Dunkin Donuts says).

That's why it seemed like a whole lotta donuts to be eating in 10 minutes.

Just think how much worse it would have been if you stepped in an 8 inch pile of steaming horse puckey getting out of the cab.

Do you people learn NOTHING? I even put this valuable advice in rhyme format so it could be easily recalled.

Stepping in horse poo would have no impact whatsoever, as horse poo won't stick to your shoe!

Please. Try to keep up.

Doable, but he's going to vomit all over the place shortly thereafter.

To eat them all and keep them down is not doable.

baltassoc 08-05-2005 11:39 AM

This could backfire.

When I was a teenager I would eat a party pack of Timbits (5 dozen donut holes) in under 30 min. And that was just snacking, not even trying to eat fast. I imagine I could have done 50 in ten minutes no problem.

Nope. You're just the poor shmuck who got dicked into covering something last minute.

The douchebag I've referred to actually purposefully dresses the way he does. I've been where you are. That sucks. Partner looks at you and says "What do you mean you don't have a suit? Well, get one." But it is kind of funny looking like a homeless freak in Court.

DTB,

You know I love you, platonically, in a fellow member of secret insurgency sort of old skool sort of way, but I dissent.

if you step in an 8 inch pile of loose steaming horse crap that engulfs your foot and the 3-4 inches of you calf, it sticks.

Are they the yeast kind or the cake kind? Because to me, the cake kind take longer to eat -- they are dry and harder to swallow. Take a lot more chewing.

I apologize if I am repetitive for failure to STP.

eta and I apologize for initially quoting the wrong post.

Did you have the munchies? Because I think pot reduces nausea, which seems like it could speed the eating process along.

dtb, can you get your guy high before the contest? If so, the odds go up he can down all the holes.

ETA I love this topic. Is is a special present for me? You are the best.

Sometimes there is great beauty in the obvious. We spend our lives trying to delve into the complex, always searching for hidden meaning, trying to discern subtle nuances, looking for the subtext. Sometimes we need to sit down, pick up the small current-polished rock that sits by the creek running down the mountainside, and appreciate it for what it is. A small rock. Nothing more. Nothing less.
