I had a professor (or what Sebby would call a "prof") who insisted that all texts also had a context, a subtext, and something called "the intertext." I'm starting to think he was just fucking with me, though.
Look at the little red letters about eight posts up. I think that's what he meant.

Ah, yes. But can't that cause hyperventilation?

Not if you are well hydrated and in decent cardiovascular shape.

With NOFX's "Hot Dog in a Hallway" playing in the background.

Who cares? Annoying show, all the more so because of the stupid fence gimmick.

He did more than Home Improvement, you know.

Curb Your Enthusiasm returns to HBO Sunday at 9:30pm (after SATC at 9).

And the DC Circuit has held that Monica Lewinsky (blowjobs and purses and law, oh my, it's on topic) is not entitled to reimbursement of $1.1 million in legal fees. Yeeaowch.

According to the Washington Post,
Quote:

The primary standard for winning fee reimbursement under the independent counsel statute that was in effect at the time of the investigation is that an individual would not have had to hire a lawyer but for the independent counsel's investigation.

In its ruling, the panel rejected Lewinsky's assertion that "there would have been no investigation of her conduct had it not involved the President," noting that the independent counsel's office had argued that Lewinsky was accused of lying about her affair and perjuring herself.

The judges ruled that fee reimbursement was intended for cases in which "covered officials were investigated for criminal offenses for which ordinary citizens would not have been investigated or prosecuted." In Lewinsky's case, the panel found, "the criminal offense investigated was perjury for which ordinary citizens are routinely investigated and prosecuted."

Yeah, that's almost always the top story in the news around here, right after how the 'skins did, what the weather will bring, how many soldiers died in Iraq, that's when we hear about 24 year old non-swallowers who committed perjury that day.
