I will wear that shirt at: DJ shows

I may wear that shirt at: Indie rock shows

It is possible, but not likely, that I will wear the shirt at: Hip hop shows

In order to avoid getting beaten up, I will NOT be wearing that shirt at: Punk rock shows

I am actually a bit down on that shirt now, though. I find it at a funky little shop in a different city. Then I run across it at on the Yellow Rat Bastard web site. Then, this morning I am exchaning a gift at our local department store, and the very same shirt is prominently featured in the Ben Sherman section. In the course of five days, the shirt has evolved from hip and funky to played out and banal.

A co-worker just told me that she was reading GQ and learned that the metrosexual look is out and that the new big look is going to be the slightly unkempt geek. I think 2004 is going to be a big year for the Flower.

I'm with you on that one. Thank god for fashion cycles, I say.

If you're talking dressing like the guys who still haven't stopped wearing the nice clothes their mom bought them for 11th grade back-to-school, you will never, ever, ever, get any action ever again, ever.

P(just a helpful PSA to the FB men)J

Don't be silly. I wish I could still get into my high school pants.

Funny, at the time I was in high school, I was wishing others would get into my high school pants.

How on earth can you possibly get by WITHOUT doing this? I may leave some of the portions of the time sheet to fill out later on but I write down what I do as I do it and can't imagine trying to reconstruct even one day and the end of that day, let alone a day from a month ago.
Its a transactional thing. You litigators don't get it.

Right. Like mine for yesterday: Attention to duties performed in connection with closing.

Angelina Jolie has a new love (or at least playmate): monobrowed bad boy Colin Farrell. So FBers with a crush on Angelina, you too have an in with your favorite babe if you're constantly wasted and randomly nail everyone you meet without precautions.
You rang?

I have always avoided making New Year's Resolutions, but this year, I'm trying my first. I had a check up the other day, and the doctor told me that my chloresterol was 200. Although I try to work out regularly, and eat decently, I still eat ice cream as often or more so than I did as a kid, and have not learned to say no to fried food. (Mmmm, Wendy's.) So, knowing that I won't be able to cut out ice cream, I'm swearing off of fried food. Wish me luck.

The only acceptable attire is a t-shirt, not for any new band, but still conveying some smarts (Gang of Four, Bukowski, Buzzcocks, etc)
as to getting beat up, The hard thing about all age punk shows is the mass of weasly 17 year old boys. At these shows there have been times when there were 1 or 2 kids that I want to hit for being stupid. I'm no fighter, but I know I could take them. Problem is, I've read Leningen and the Ants, and I know how the numbers would work out.

My resolution is much more upbeat and man-pleasing. I'm upgrading my underthings.
