This would seem to put Wildman in a precarious position. I think RS fucked them. They just went from a firm looking to merge to grow their client base to a firm that has to merge to survive.

Is Wildman's future that bleak? I thought they were essentially sound, but not really fixed for growth.

I think that's right, but I think other firms may take this as an opportunity to poach some of the better groups, with medium to long term disasterous results for the firm.
