Careful, unless you're personally on the call. Some lawyers tend to pad the time on their bills.

No, it's perfect actually. Why? What do you think it says?
It says that you and your travelling companions got tired of some guy's cock after an hour or two. On second thought, I guess it does read how you wanted it to. And please stop sending me pictures.

(We are law-abiding citizens -- we don't put up with this sort of tomfoolery.)
Because turning left on a red light from a one-way street onto a one-way street is every bit as not-dangerous as turning right on a red light.

Of course, I am stop sign and stoplight scofflaw, newly emboldenned by my 1-0 record pleading not guilty for traffic violations. Mrs. Str8 called this one dead-on, when I won my case, that my refusal to wait out red lights in the middle of the night would get worse and worse. FEAR ME, LOS ANGELES.

This is crap and you know it is crap. Poltics in this country is just like any other sport. People pick a side and then will go through horrible mental contortions to rationalize and justify all actions engaged in by their side while at the same time excorciating all actions, no matter how innocuous or well-intentioned, by the other side. It becomes a win-at-any-cost scenario with all the rationality and concern about "rights of the people" as you will find in a FB discussion about whether the Yankees or Red Sox are a more worthy team. The FB is sort of the lowest common denominator of this effect. Even if a debate has its origins in a passionate discussion of the real or hyopthesised effects on the rights of the people, it quickly devolves into an orgy of buffoonery and vitriol. The politics board is a cess pool and, even worse, it is boring. But, in those respects, it at least is an accurate representation of politics as a whole in this country.
I always admired your proposed theatrical parody of the board.

Also, I miss the dainty petunia, her time here was too short. [sniff]

So, the boys (and I mean boys) who sit on my desk are all in agreement that today I look like a catholic schoolgirl (one dude said it, and then all the others voiced their agreement).

I have to disagree. First of all, I'm not wearing a crucifix. Secondly, I'm wearing a sweater-vest thingy with stripes and a white shirt underneath, and a longish blue skirt with front and back slits (and very fetching little pockets with purple trim).

Catholics of the FB, I ask you, is that a particularly catholic -- or Catholic -- look?

I mentioned that I meant to wear a blue shirt, but it was in the laundry, and one usually quiet guy said (a little too loudly), "It wouldn't have made a difference." (strange -- I wouldn't have thought sartorial matters registered with him -- but he actually went to Catholic school, so I guess I have to believe him)
Have they started asking you to sing "hit me, baby, one more time" yet?

I'd say that the combination of a sweater over a shirt paired with a skirt is, indeed, evocative of the stereotypical Catholic schoolgirl look.

But you didn't SAY you were turning FROM a one-way street.

That makes a difference, I suppose.

Still. Stay out of Connecticut, please, until you can obey the rules.

Thank you.

I believe it applies to bats as well. Too bad they don't seem to be so good at the reading the motto part.

In solitaire, when you've moved a card up on top of its ace, then you realize you wished the card was back down on a stack, because it would let you play a card- (say the 4 of hearts is on its ace, but you want to play a black 3) - can you move it down?

The computer game lets you, but it feels like cheating.
