I always wondered who would read that sort of spam. Thanks for clearing it up.

Cancer kid update

I'm sure you were all waiting anxiously over the weekend to learn what was happening with the kid whose mother took him cross country to avoid giving him chemo. Yeah right.

Well, Mom & kid came back to Minnesota voluntarily and the parents get to keep custody of the kid because they agreed to chemo. The kid is another story (and probably the reason the parents agreed -- if the kid refuses they can just shrug their shoulders and say they can't tie him down and force it on him). Though the kid's resistance may weaken because his tumor has grown (so much for the efficacy of vitamins and ionized water in treating cancer) and is pressing on his trachea so he soon won't be able to breathe if he doesn't get treatment.

A documentary filmmaker paid for their flight back and filmed interviews. Mom still seems pretty clueless. I don't see her doing a good job convincing the kid that chemo is pretty much his only shot at living.

Just think of how many Third World children are going to die because the filmmaker gave the the family that money.

maybe Viagra Soft is the bizarro Viagra, and makes a guy with terminal boners flacid on demand?

Sounds like plaintiffs' work w/o the red tape. But then when you have low starting wages with potential for big payoff you don't get the risk-averse Columbia top 1/3 kid, you get the risk-taking top-half Touro kid.

The problem is, is that you can never have that t-h-t kid meet the client because they would never let him in the country club.

I think Viagra Soft is the chewable tablet. Now, your ability to traumatize women through sexual intercourse need not come to a halt when you can no longer take solid foods. I should know. I'm a medical doctor. I own a mansion and a yacht.

Yeah, and think of how, how many are going to die because of all the money spent on Jon & Kate +8. Everyone who watches that show and/or buys a product advertised thereon is a mass murderer.

this shows an ignorance of aging problems that is, frankly, insulting to wonk,

Jon & Kate + 8 was barely on my mental radar until Jon's extracurricular activities made the news. Still not worth watching unless it turns into Jon & Kate With Joint Custody of 8 and probably not even then.

What I want to watch is "Kate + 8 - Sponsorship." Unfortunately, I think TLC would find the family a lot less telegenic without all the shit they usually get comped on camera. Oh, and five year old are a lot less cute than two year olds, present company's kids excepted of course.

That's two posts I've made today with the word "telegenic." What does the trifecta pay around here?
