Honestly, it probably comes down to the reviewer's experience in those cities. For example, I think that objectively, Florence is probably the nicer city, but objectively, I had a much better time in Barcelona. I was the ugliest person in Spain the day I set foot there. The Barcelonians (?) were just born to have a good time. It's like they were professional partiers. If you can arrange to stay in a flat with a bunch of beautiful University of Barcelona students with low standards, I highly highly recommend it.

I haven't been to either one, because I'm xenophobic (or something like that).

But, how can you not go to the city that inspired the movie that had this in it:

Ted: Spanish girls tend to be really promiscuous.
Fred: You're such a prig.
Ted: No, I wasn't using "promiscuous" pejoratively. It's just a fact. They have completely different attitudes toward sex.
Fred: Well, I wasn't using "prig" pejoratively.

While this advice is helpful generally, you need to remember your audience. How are the public libraries in each city? Will Ty experience any difficulty finding high speed internet access in either place?

I am my only audience, didn't you realize that by now?

SAN FRANCISCO - Barry Bonds makes his season debut for the Giants tonight when they host San Diego in San Francisco. He'll start the game in left field and bat cleanup.

Which part of TO's behavior do you consider most narcissistic? I, for one, think it's his making a big fucking deal about how he's not talking to McNabb while also making snotty comments about him in a public forum. A familiar scenario, no?

Good catch. Apparently living in San Francisco does something to your ego if you play sports - even for a crappy team.

Barcelona, hands down

I preferred Barcelona, and that was before they prettied the city up for the Olympics. Not my favorite city in Spain, but I will take Spaniards over Italians any day of the week and twice on Sunday (I watched too much cliche ridden fottball over the weekend). They are better looking, nicer, saner, funner, far less smelly or likely to grope your wife.

As for the food, I again far prefer Spanish to Italian, but Italian cuisine is one of my least favorite. I suspect, however, that Tyrone already knows which type of food he prefers.

As for scenery, I will give it to Florence, but my experience is that the scenery was marred by the grimy dirtiness of the city. I felt like I had to look down all the time to make sure I avoided the fecal (not all doggie) landmines that littered the sidewalks.

As for art, I will take the Gaudi cathedral, park and buildings, the Miro museum, and the Dali museum over room after room after room after room after room of fucking Renaissance art. How many different ways could they draw the Madonna and child? I don't know, but clearly not enough to keep me interested.

2. Epcot Barcelona kicked Epcot Florence's ass.

That's one. Also, holding out and saying he won't play, but then coming back and playing after all.

Although I didn't realize it was a coyote. TV has taught me that coyotes are always carrying large packages from Acme.
Come to LA, we'll play 18 at Griffith Park golf course. You're likely as not to see a coyote or two hanging out in the fairway as you hit your drive.
