A condolences card? Not yet.

But I want to send something.
How about just a note saying that they're in your thoughts and/or prayers?

I would send a note expressing your concern for his son and his own state of mind and offering to be there for him and his family.

It's not too pessimistic, nor does it offer false hope.

That's cause you're really fat right now and nobody wants to be mistaken for expressing any interest in you sexually. Once the kid is born, you will be heaped with admiration and praise.

Assuming you get back into decent shape in a hurry and the kid isn't butt-ugly.

No cuffs on the casual pants. Only on the suits.

I don’t wear any pants that fit in-between casual pants (JCrew type stuff) and the pants youget with suits. I don’t do the sportcoat and trouser look. Its either super casual or a suit.

Thanks. But I'm not sure sausage would be right either, given the real possibility of a bloated corpse showing up at some point.

Maybe some marzipan?

I'm glad to see you put some thought into this. I would have thought you'd suggest a roll of Lifesavers or some other flippant answer.

And in the Silver Lining Department, this from TMQ:

This won’t work if he’s an atheist. In that case, you should give him a gift card to MexicanPharmacy.com with a note that says “Fuck it. You’ve done all you can.”
