I just realized that as of right now, there is only one male child with my mother's maiden name in the extended family. I have a few male adult cousins on that side but I think only one of them -- father of the aforementioned family name carrier-onner - is not through procreating yet. The others have daughters. And my brother is the last with my father's last name, and he doesn't have kids. My only male cousin with that last name has daughters. Huh. That's actually kind of sad. |

When considering names for our kids, I would go to those "names" sites and get ideas. I would look up Baldomero to see what it meant, how popular, etc. and even the Spanish-speaking sites didn't always have the name. My uncle said it's the Spanish form of Vladimir, but I have not found independent verification of that. He (my uncle) is most likely full of shit. |

They created a new last name. Actually, they took her last name and added a "Von" in front of it. Pretentious? Yes. But it cracks me up. Then they had children.... two sons... named Grayson and Nolan. I laughed again. |
