Back in 98 I drove through Minnesota. No fair, but did have an ice cream sandwich or two. Better than most.

with slave as my witness, My last real secretary was from MN. Loved the fair.

1. Keep your mitts off our KG!

2. The Minnesota State Fair is the 12 days up to and including Labor Day. I love the State Fair and go at least twice each year but I'm a geek so take that into consideration. I also enter the baking competition.

One thing for sure, there are more kinds of fried foods (and some non-fried) on a stick at the Minnesota State Fair than you'll find anywhere. I did draw the line at the Hotdish on a Stick that was new this past year. The fried part was not particularly appealing (alternating tater tots and meatballs covered in batter and deep fried) but the cream of mushroom soup dipping sauce killed it for me. I also didn't try the deep fried chocolate chip cookies.
