It probably could be, but it would be like making kobe beef into hamburger. Stupid, pretentious, and ultimately, demonstrating a total lack of appreciation for the underlying product.

And before you say it, yes, Hank, I know, W-A-T-E-R. However, not every poster has your savoir faire and sophisiticated palate. It is those lesser souls to whom I direct my comments, in the hope that some day, we can all be just a tiny bit cooler.

It wasn't a water moment, I was just trying to set up Penske for his favorite post subjects on each board- its his birthday!

Wonk. doesn't it have to get freezing to make ice wine. Can it even be made in California or Italy? I thought it was more Michigan or New York or German wine because it gets colder there.

Yes, it does have to be freezing. However, Sangiovese are incredibly hardy grapes and travel well. Also, I may be mistaken, but I think that there are mountains in the Piedmont as well as in Northern California that get freezes.

It makes me wonder if when the full weight of the left wing's capitulation to the enemies of freedom is brought to bare if America's end will be more like Brobeck's or the Brothers Coudert?

Sadly, you are correct. Even more sadly, we will have missed the warnings signs that WTC I, OK-City and 911 offered.

But doesn't the posts re the Spank/Serbian story give you confidence that if we just continue with absolute confidence and ignore the "all-knowing" nay-sayers, eventually we will win out?

Spanky's kavorka may be unique in his arena of battle. I am not sure if the RedStates possess it.

We also went to Edna Valley on the same trip and thought the new vintage Pinot was also meh. So we bought some leftover older stuff.
FYI, I was reading Wine Enthusiast Magazine this weekend, and the 2002 Sanford & Benedict Pinot got a 93 rating and recommendation to cellar.

The 1999 and 1998 both got 94s and are drinkable (very!) now.

YMMV.

Why is that when we had drinks, you just stuck to the bottle of thunderbird in your dirty raincoat?

It is amazing in how many areas of life where persistence and attrition win the day.
