I will give props where they are due, and Lester's little saying that eight million people are always wrong appears to be right. This is a country full of pastel sweatpant wearing proles who will eat whatever McCrap the Jews Who Control The Media feed them (I saw something funny on this on Mad TV which is why I said it). I didnt see this award show, but my god!:

"Bruce Almighty" was named favorite comedy. (EDITORS NOTE: this explains last week's stumper of how Jim Carrey was the most lucrative entertainer of the year- I couldnt think of a movie he did but I guess I just dont see Jim Carrey movies. I doubt this movie could have been funnier than Lovely and Amazing or a Mighty Wind or Mystic River).


Return winners took most of the top performer categories. Mel Gibson and Julia Roberts won for favorite film actor and actress. (EDITROS NOTE: what were these people in this year? I know Roberts was in Mona Lisa smile which got panned, so wtf?) Ray Romano and Jennifer Aniston won for favorite male and female TV performers (EDITORS NOTE: fine, proles are too cheap to pay for cable). Tom Hanks was named favorite all-time entertainer.(EDITORS NOTE= All time? Entertainner? whatever)



"CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" was selected favorite TV drama series. "Friends" won for favorite comedy series. (Again, proles clearly dont pay for cable- and was Scrubs not available as time killer top comedy?)

Now I know why Mcdonalds has taken over the world.

Does any stadium still have these signs? The only one I can think of is Fenway, and I kind of assumed it was removed to be replaced with advertising. Too bad Tabasco didn't buy some rights, and slap up their banners next to the no pepper signs. "Tabasco instead!"

Now that you mention it, most all the "problems" this week were directly caused by unambigous suggestions of those around Larry- "tell her its for you" "Don't bring a gift."
Maybe the Larry as "social retard" was getting too personal so he's shifting the blame.
Like in Leave it to Beaver reruns Ward was a buffoon til Hugh Beaumont starting directed, then it became clear June was the imbecile.

While we're all agreed on the "she gave you the kiss off so move on and forget it" thing, why is leaving 3 "I'm busy" messages (or delivering them in person) weird? What does voicemail/machines/caller ID have to do with anything? One doesn't say "I'm busy forever" (one shouldn't have to), one rejects a specific invitation, and 3x is the charm (after which the rejector should ask for the next date to actively demonstrate "no, it was a real scheduling problem not a blow-off"). Granted, this requires everyone involved to remember that an appropriate invitation to a date is "I'd love to see you again, can I take you to dinner Saturday," not "I'd love to see you again, let me know when you are available."

I agree not returning calls is much ruder than an e-mail, but I still think the "kiss-off" e-mail is inherently pretty rude - you just say "no" to the dates proffered and offer no explanation, so the kiss off is implicit. (Particularly one like this which just makes the sender look neurotic.) Again, this requires everyone to remember "civilized behavior 101," which teaches us that one does not press unwanted romantic attentions on others and therefore one should heed signals that said attentions are not wanted (like repeated rejection) and accept it gracefully.

Also, I think I'm having a bit of a problem with the idea that there is any relationship to "break up" after 2 dates. But I think I'm the last person on the planet who thinks serial monogomy is a great social evil and, short of mutual agreement on exclusivity, moving in together or marriage the presumption has to be that there is not sufficient romantic committment there to require a "break up" at all, as opposed to a "brush off," and both parties remain entirely free agents.

I'm confused as to whether this is the same woman from before or a different one, but my advice to you is that you probably need to become a bit more interesting. Work on yourself. Take up some interests, whether it's frisbee golf, or volunteering at a food bank, or comparing and contrasting Mike Sherman, Mike Martz and Grady Little. Do that first, and success with the ladies will follow.

Exactly. Teeth are better, skin is better. It was weird. About halfway thru her conversation with Larry re: 10th anniversary gift, my husband and I looked at each other and essentially said "when did Cheryl get hot?" to each other. Uncanny.

Different topic, but on the recommendation of the FB (Atticus, TM?)I watched arrested development for the first time last night. Very funny.

I think that the situation to which you're referring is placing an "odds" bet behind your pass line bet. It's the one bet in the casino in which you can get true accurate odds for your wager. Therefore, it is advised that you max out this bet (some downtown places advertise up to 100x odds, but the usual is 3x(on 4 or 10) / 4x (on 5 or 9) / 5x (on 6 or 8).

As an initial point, I think for tense agreement it should be "shat". But, I'm not sure why this would make him more attractive.
