That's sort of how I do it too. Subtract maybe a dollar or two (depending, obviously, on size of the bill) if service was sub-par (which usually translates into "slow"), add a few bucks if I think the waiter is particularly hot.

2. C'mon. Work with me here, Coltrane. I need something flameworthy.

Actually, this is just an approximation of my pattern. Always at least 20%, more if food was cheap, more if anything was taken off the bill, more if I'm a regular or if I have any interest in being a regular in the future, more if service was outstanding. I might consider going below 20%, but only if it was a I'm Never Coming Back Here sort of experience.

My proudest moment of late* was when my Mom visited and for the meal she payed for, I checked her tip and she left 20%. I trained her on the wait staff thing. <sniff> Gramma is a lost cause, however.

*C'mon with the commentary on how sad my life is that this is actually a proudest moment.

I screw cabbies on tips all of the time. They get no leeway. Do one tiny little thing that pisses me off, and your getting a fucking nickel. Or I'm getting out and throwing four singles in your face when the fare is $6...or I start beating your cab with my umbrella (this happened).

Or are you banging the Taxicab Confessions chick?

I was about to say that my firm wouldn't permit any competitor beaming their ^%#$^#$G promotional shit into OUR elevator. Then I remembered that most of our partners here wouldn't know about Fish even if they got slapped with one.

I tip somewhere between $4-$15 for a two person meal, depending on a lot of things; the size of the check is one factor, but not the only one.

*I've never had a bad waiter at Arroyo; I was just trying to think of an expensive restaurant.
What a cheap bastard.

Drugs. Disease. It's a true Hollywood tragedy.

She rose to stardom in “American Pie,” but now actress Natasha Lyonne is fighting for her life.

The New York Post broke the story that the missing actress had been found. Natasha, 26, is struggling to survive in New York City's Beth Israel Hospital intensive care.

Reportedly, Natasha is suffering from hepatitis C, a heart infection, a collapsed lung and is covered in track marks.

She's also undergoing methadone treatment
Aaron Braunstein is very upset about the article in the Post.
“There's a confidentiality between patient, doctor and hospital, so all of this is probably going to be a major lawsuit,” he continued.

Natasha, has also appeared in “Slums of Beverly Hills,” “Detroit Rock City” and “Kate and Leopold,” was arrested for drunk driving in 2001.

You guys have pretty good music taste, eh? I'm looking for songs to download for one collection that have in common that they are "ASS KICKING SONGS" or the kind that inspire drunken, white-boy slam dancing or other raucous, alcohol-fueled behavior. Right now, I have stuff like "Should I Stay..." by the Clash and "The Real Me" (Quadrophenia, oh those drums). Oh, and we're looking for fairly mainstream stuff, not some obscure bullshit. Which means Paigow's on Ignore (sorry, biatch).

Mystery solved. I was just in my elevator and it told me that Fish is counsel to Captivate Network. Ya know, the tv's in elevators people. It is probably a win-win for Fish and Captivate to have those annoying ads on. Captivate looks like they are getting quality advertisers and Fish tells millions of people everyday that Fish Does It Right for some sort of discount I'm sure.
