I'll bet someone from PETA has.

That service already exists--call intercept I think is the marketing terms. It asks for a name or for the caller to punch an access code, then rings the caller to decide whether to pick up.
Ahem. Lots of patents in this area.

There may be other restrictions, such as a requirement of terminal illness.

Besides, suicide may be a crime, but that's pretty irrelevant (except maybe for tax purposes). Attempted suicide is another matter. But you could make an "as applied" challenge to a suicide criminal statute if you were terminally ill.

Hello
So you're saying the service should be free?

What are you, communist?

Not at all. Not at all.

serious question- i really don't care if telemarkers are made to follow a do not call list or not,
if the FCC can control what goes over the air, why can't some gov't entity stop telemarkets?

It still has to justify those restrictions under the first amendment. So you're back to square one.

If you look at most of the FCC's regulatory work, it relates to the structure of the markets and allocating scarce resources (i.e., wavelengths and licenses). When they regulate content (e.g., 7 dirty words), it's content that otherwise can be restricted under the first amendment (at least arguably).

And I don't think they could exclude an entire category of people from using the phones.

Will you quit hounding me if I do?

You will never see that $2.00 because I did not lose that bet.

I don't care if Sgt. Club and Tyrone both put their hands on bibles and swear they aren't cohabitating socks, it doesn't mean its true. And you don't get $2.00 until their DNA results come back.

You are math-impaired. It is $2,000. And you were the one who thought they are one and the same. It is clear to me that only one gets laid on a regular basis (and/or is capable of satisfying a wo-man) -- Ty.

Oh yeah, like there is such a thing as "satisfying a wo-man". Was Dorothy ever really satisfied, even after clicking her heels?

Exactly, and she was, like, the perfect woman!

What did the Easter bunny bring you this year?

I think it is indicative of, uh, lots of stuff that only conservative men seem to find women unsatisfiable. Apparently I have made the right political bedmate decisions.

Judy Garland is your idol? This explains a lot.

A sad day

WASHINGTON, Oct. 21 — After years of emotional debate, the Senate voted 64-34 Tuesday to send President Bush legislation to ban what critics call partial birth abortion, the most significant restriction since the landmark Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion three decades ago. Abortion rights groups promised to challenge the law in court as soon as Bush signed it.

Sigh, no comment.

Oh, absolutely. And I think its indicative of, uh, lots of stuff that liberal women are never satisfied. You have made the right political bedmate decision, apparently.
