We have a modest glossary here. Conveniently, we have a "timmy" entry. :)

In general, it means "Three Letter Acronym." There might be a FB-specific definition, but I don't know of one (if any FB-Regular has a different answer, please post).

What does it mean in context?

The post I cited responded to my use of HTH so it could have been used in the sense 'ooooo, look, the newbie used a TLA'. But, that would be pretty lame and on the FB should have elicited its own round of flames. Or, it could mean something else I just don't get. Or, soup sandwich could be someone that the other posters just don't flame. Or, ........

It's so confusing.

I didn't quite understand the context of soup sandwich's post either.

Not every lame thing on the FB gets flamed. There are a variety of reasons why certain posts or posters are not torched: (1) the poster is being ignored by most of the pyromaniacs; (2) the content of the post is not particularly flameworthy (e.g., an FB-Regular is giving a newbie a hard time); (3) there are other, more interesting flame wars going on that merit undivided attention; (4) the post is ambiguous (i.e., is it a flame? an inside joke? neither?) and therefore cannot easily be turned into a flame or a joke that doesn't sound lame; (5) the usual flamers are having a good day at work and are feeling pretty upbeat; (6) etc.

These are just casual observations from a non-FB-Regular. If any FB-Regular has a better explanation, em is encouraged to weigh in.

90% of all posts are flotsam. when you're new, people don't give you slack on your 90% because they haven't seen enough of your 10%. Pick your shots and try and increase you % by culling the mediocre for awhile. ain't nothing more, I don't think. although I'm still pretty new there.

When you take pictures from other sites and hot link to them, which is what happens when you click on img and put a link in there to a picture, some sites will replace that with another picture in order to discourage the hotlinking.

No real harm done. Just double check when you post an image that it is what you meant it to be.

It's only about a year and a half old, and I think this response qualifies is an original whiff. Ruling, TM?

What does it say about TM's aging process that he's focused on analyzing whiffs rather than blow jobs?

Hi....

Is there a place where I can ask a question?

Or is the whole forum "linear" (can't start new threads)?

Just wondering...
