well obviously the religious based guilt of enjoying non-procreative sex makes one feel like they are a bad person and the conditioned response from childhood to feeling bad is that you should be punished. then given the religiously based promotion of spanking children (the entire "spare the rod and spoil the child" thing), it conditions someone to see the proper punishment for their misbehaviour as getting a spanking. thus the relief religious of based guilt combined with the association of being spanked with love from the childhood spankings leads to people seeing spanking as being appealing. that is also why many adults who are into spanking grew up in religious households and went to religious schools. naturally, i am looking at this from a submissive perspective.

Finding such a virtuous beauty buried deep in the austere wastelands of cable TV where there are so few things to warrant my precious attention, other than Hannity & Colmes, Scarborough Country and Carnivale, was a rare spot of fortune indeed. NEW YORK, Oct. 21 — In contrast to the “Tonight” show — Arnold Schwarzenegger’s unofficial late-night venue — David Letterman is airing material that would make most politicians consider a career change. Over the past week, Letterman’s “Meet the Governor” segment has rolled old footage of the incoming California governor grasping a woman’s buttocks, smoking marijuana and grinning goofily dressed in an Indian outfit.
A Schwarzenegger spokesman did not return repeated phone calls for comment.
Two of the segments could be seen as embarrassing for Schwarzenegger given allegations, raised late in his campaign for governor, that he had groped women in the past.
In one, he is seen conversing with a woman over a table of food. At Schwarzenegger’s urging, she seductively licks a carrot stick. The second segment shows Schwarzenegger dancing with women dressed in skimpy costumes; he grips the buttocks of one woman with two hands and grins at the camera.
“That’s the governor of California, for God’s sake,” Letterman said after the film stopped rolling on one segment.
