That's what seemed to be happening here--I don't believe she thinks she's doing a bad job. But she is. Just like Paigow's sister thinks that she's being normal and friendly towards paigs in the bar.
She seems to have the attitude that she's too good for the type of work she's been asked to do, and, when she articulates that attitude, much of the time she blames her reasons on the racism or incompetence of others. That's only been magnified by the fact that she was fired, when she was definitely (in her mind) the most talented and capable person on the show. Paigow's made-up quote seemed merely to summarize that.

I guess we differ on paigow's interpretation.
And while I agree she seems to read racism into actions that have nothing to do with race, it seems to me that she's more of the "I'm the best, everyone else is incompetent" type. I didn't catch her say anything about race in the last episode at all and it looked like she was purposefully sabotaging the event (lying about what the woman said, not calling back, not even attempting to figure out where Simpson was, telling the camera about why it was actually Kwame's fault and not hers).
Whatever. We can agree she sucks ass at least.
