Actually, there are more:

acheilous, anemious, caesious, annelidous and arsenious

(but abstemious and facetious appear to be the only non-science words)

Um.. and those other ones Shifter rattled off.

Dumbest poster? I think not. Most boring poster? Maybe.

Sorry. I thought it was her mom.

Pleasing or amiable. As in "a placentious placenta."

I was going for all six vowels - throwing in the "y".

So how many of shifter's words can we add "ly" to?

I can't believe I'm asking this, but have you folks come up with the answers to Less's word games?

I have just reached a new level of boredom.

Five vowels in a row is queueing.

I'm just paying attention because ncs asked. I'll think about the others.

With the "s" you can almost always put it somewhere, but it's a real winner when you get the "q" on a triple letter square.

(ETA: shit, I'm the only one having fun here, aren't I?)
How about each vowel (other than y) exactly twice?

18 letter word using only 1 vowel.

Word with only the vowel "i", used 5 times.

1-syllable words of 9 letters (at least 2).

7 letter words with no vowels (at least 2).

8 letter word, 4 letters, 1 vowel, with which all FBers should be familiar

5 consecutive vowels.

BR(I always thought "bacterious" was fun, but "aerious" is shorter)C
