Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the man who repeatedly ran over the ducks, police reported. Public donations have more than quadrupled the money. The reward currently stands at $5,100 and climbing, said NBC11 reporter Jonas Tichenor.

The driver ran over the ducks and threw some against or in his car around 12:30 a.m. Aug. 5 at the car wash, located at 981 E. Hamilton Ave., police said. The entire incident was caught on videotape.

Since Thursday, three ducklings have hatched at the car wash, bringing the duck population to about 15, Davis said. The ducks have been a car wash staple for the last 34 years, according to Davis.

The video is quite disturbing - who would kill defenseless ducks?

My sister's dog gets rather pissed off if you don't kill defenseless ducks when he sees them. The look of disdain and contempt on a laborador retriever's face if you shoot and miss is something that I try to avoid at all costs. That and getting up at 4:30 in the morning to sit in a cold, wet blind waiting for the damned ducks to show up.
