I know you still have some challenges, but your brain seems right back WRT being snarky here. Which is a great thing.

A girl'd have to be brain damaged to go out with him, amiright?

Massive price discrimination.

I bet W-S sells a ton of that stuff to people in my 'burb.

Looking at the fruitcake made by Trappist monks, reminded me of the fruitcake one of the judge's former clerks ordered from someplace in Texas that is supposed to be famous for fruitcake. And then he dosed up the fruitcake with bourbon and re-sealed it for a month or so. Mighty good fruitcake -- I wish I remembered where he ordered it from. But then again, even a grocery store fruitcake is probably pretty good after soaking in bourbon.

The one in Corsicana? Someone in my office drives up to Dallas to check on his dad every month or so and brings back the fruitcake on request of my boss. Pretty good, as far as fruitcakes go.

I'm pretty sure this is where you can get it, if you don't happen to be driving up and down I45 on a regular basis:

That looks like it. It is even better if you open it up, pour a cup of bourbon in and then seal it up for a month or so.

It was the first time I'd ever had fruitcake with tons of pecans and without that nasty citron stuff.

Speaking of sweets, one of the only good things about traveling to Atlanta is that the Delta lounge carries these:

That does suck.

As ABBA hasn't been here in a while, I'll fill her spot with a depression PSA.

Pay attention to those commercials for depression meds or read up on the symptoms. If you have several of the symptoms, haul ass to your doctor. Lawyers are one of the professions where depression runs rampant.

If you think someone you know might be depressed, say something. After I told a partner I used to work for that I'd been disgnosed with depression, he said, "I thought that might be the case." He's married to a doctor and he didn't think to say anything to me. Meanwhile I couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. Depression never occurred to me because I didn't feel "sad." It's a chemical imbalance thing, not always about being "sad" though situational depression also occurs. Winter is a particularly bad time for some people because of the short days and lack of sunlight.

So don't worry about offending someone -- speak up.

for a minute there the Delta lounges everywhere carried Chocoloate covered caramel corn. if the weight that added on me were extrapolated across all SkyClub members, then Delta's fuel costs would skyrocket.

I knew em professionally and hadn't a clue. Em had the same name as a famous person so I always used to kid about being a fan. Also, this person was really, really nice so I always went out of my way to be extra nice -- just because em's professionality and niceness was appreciated.

I find it disconcerting that the way most people find my blog is by searching for the term "whale penis".
