I'm saying she would probably change the names to protect the innocent, and pretend that it's fiction.

The Commitments: A- (R&B, as we all know)
The Snapper: B (unwed pregnancy)
The Van: B+ (adult male friendships)
Paddy Clarke Ha Ha Ha: A+ (father-son relationships following divorce; won the Booker Prize)
The Woman Who Walked Into Doors: B+ (domestic violence)
A Star Called Henry: B (trying to be Joyce)

Upgrade each of these a half-mark if you're ethnically Irish.

Mantrapping cons

1) Being leered at by G3 and Wonk who are thinking about sucking some chunks out of you

2) Stretchy vagina. ALthough the sand would probalby fall right out like from a bucket. Could I make castles?

3) Knowing I will never have a hope of sleeping with Abba.

ETA that I in no way think Bold mantrapped Brazen.
Downside of being mantrapped by PP

1) Constant leering at wallet

2) Stretchy vagina

3) Knowing I will never have a hope of sleeping with Abba

And, most importantly of all,

4) Bitch, bitch, bitch

Can anyone suggest any upsides?

Incidentally, my vain little superficial, wanna-be fashionista heart was elated yesterday when, wandering back from a late lunch, I passed Isaac Mizrahi going the other way and he gave me a double-take once-over and a nod of approval. What he was doing in the financial district is beyone me, but nevermind. Best celeb-sighting I've had in a while; I haven't gotten out much of late. He's really cute in person.

I think that's a question they'll ponder over several weeks next season. It certainly looks that way and you've got to wonder how Zack's dad is going to get back from wherever it is that Mike left him. Also wonder if Bree will figure out that the pharmacist was responsible. She'll probably be the first suspect - that will also carry for a few weeks.

By the way, I fully admit to having no control over my hair. None. Zero. Zip. I merely wash it, dry it and make suggestions. Through no fault of my own, today, my hair looks like Bree's - only in the brunette version. I'm hating it.

Fans get new ways to interact at a concert

LOS ANGELES - Anyone who’s been to a pop concert lately has noticed that fans hold their mobile phones up in the air like a previous generation did with cigarette lighters. Beginning with the summer Clay Aiken tour, audiences can do a lot more with their phone than just wave it.

“Fans loved the concept and were sending multiple text messages to our stage front screens in an effort to see their names, talk to their friends, tell Anastacia how much they love her and win prizes,” Renshaw said. “Fans were so excited about it that marriage proposals were proffered onscreen.”

Boomerang is applying the experience it acquired last year when it worked with Def Jam Recordings artist Ghostface, who was on a festival bill with about a dozen other acts each day.

“We allowed Ghostface to connect with fans who ether were fans or who heard his music that day and became fans,” Field said. “We projected a number inviting people to interact -- to meet him, visit him on the tour bus, things like that -- and when you called you heard a recorded message from Ghostface.

What? No more lighters?
I'm sure the Clay Aiken crowd is safe from text messages that say "Clay is gay" or other similar things, but I wonder if there's a filter or censor keeping vulgarities and lude talk from the screen?
I mean, you know, the temptation is certainly there.

Point of order- I don't beilieve it's being "baited" if the one "baiting" can't reel the fish in. Like in Jaws, when Richard Dreyfuss chummed the water then the shark came and ate him, I don't believe it accurate to say the shark was "baited."

Your problem is you keep trying to shark hunt, when your tackle is better suited for panfishing.

This show is addictive, although I thought the finale tied the Mary Alice storyline up just a little bit too quickly. Also, the downside was that Susan got short shrift in the finale. Gabrielle was very entertaining on the stand, and
Felicity Huffman's character got just what she deserved (and wanted). That Carlos! What a testosterone-crazed moe-ron.

I think he has to be dead. How long could you keep her away without seeing the body? Also, what is the deal with the new neighbors. They certainly seem creepy enough to live in the neighborhood.

rp and I must have read the same article . . .

strikes me as stupid not to have him be dead. What's the plot--see her reaction? See if she digs up a body from the back yard? Besides, Rex isn't a major character, and he was sort of played out by the end anyway. The show is more interesting with him dead and bree having to deal with it.

As for the new housewife, she seemed weird, but the son seemed to want some cougar action. Gabrielle should take note.
