NCS: Please ban everyone who's ever mentioned me and Yale in the same post.

On another note, it's college reunion time coming up. Any NYCers know of any good ways to get from JFK to New Haven on Friday rush hour? I don't feel like renting a car. Am I stuck with making my way to Grand Central and jumping on Metro North?

Rebook, and fly into Hartford? You're going into that fray on the friday of a long weekend? I'd get an airport shuttle, and a stack of paperbacks, and hope for the best.

Yale's standards for basic common sense clearly have fallen.

Thats hardly the primary reason she's freakish.

The implant thing is out of hand. Everybody has them these days, but they all seem to be getting those cheap "bubble tits" jobs that hacks will perform for $4K. Looks like shit. A good boob job should be very conservative, and it should really hurt your pocketbook. If the top curves over to the point that there's no semblance of a teardrop left, you've gone too big.

I see gaggles of these fake baked, over-made up, bad blonde highlights, 5'2 chicks with these enormous d sized implants all over this town. Its gross. They look like shit. WTF is the matter with people? Is this just a Philly thing or is every town packed with these cheesy chicks?

So how come no chatter about CSKA Moscow? Or the Arsenal/Man U game? Hell, I'm even up on my French (yawn, Lyon encore) and Spanish (Barca! Barca!) and Serie A (why Parma, why) crap.

Well anyways, I think Sporting Lisbon obviously dominated the first 60 minutes. Shows what happens when you fail to put a team away, I guess. Good for mother Russia though, they seemed to be celebrating with enthusiasm in Moscow.

I haven't seen any of the games (fucking FSC seems to be showing nothing but infommercials these days). I did read about the FA Cup final. Sounds like a hell of a game.

So, who's tuning into the Champions League final this afternoon? soccernet.com will have it on GameCast.

On another note, the Revolution are undefeated, the US plays England on Saturday afternoon and my indoor team kicked ass last night. We won both games handily and play for the title in two weeks.

Ironweed - is O'Neill's leaving a good thing?

Uh. No.

I was at a bar on Sunday night ranking boob jobs with a friend of mine. We had a blast. The women strut into the bar, chest out, asking people to stare at them. We stared, then discussed in detail the relative merits of each boob job. I can't say that any of them were particularly good, but we were slumming in a cheap ass pseudo-yuppie bar because a friend of ours was playing there, so we should have known better.

I was talked into watching the FA Cup final by a friend of mine from the UK who supports anyone but ManU. ManU should have won, there were a few highlights, but that game demonstrated why soccer will never catch on in the US as a spectator sport. 120 minutes of a nil-nil draw and decided by the sporting equivalent of a coin toss. If I gave a shit about either team I might not have found it such a painful waste of time.

I will check the scores on the CL final but after this weekend I really couldn't give a shit.

O'Neill's leaving is most definitely not a good thing, especially since his likely replacement is Gordon Strachan, a mediocre (and currently unemployed) manager who left his last coaching job in Southampton complaining of "stress." O'Neill's heart hasn't been in the job this year, mainly I think due to his wife's illness, but he is still the best manager the club has had since Jock Stein. We are in a world of shit.

ETA: did I mention that I don't give a shit enough in the above post? Good god.

Do they also work the cheese uniform with all the gobs of makeup and bad dyed hair and stripper outfits type shit? Thes town is packed with that gig. They all look like bad versions of Marissa Tomei's character in My Cousin Vinnie.

There are a lot of stereotypes out there like Marissa Tomei's character, which are based on real people. These stereotypes are fairly well skewered by the media. So why do people persist in acting like them anyway? Don't these people watch SNL, or Chappelle, or South Park or the Simpsons or any other show that rips on stereotypes and think "Shit, they're making fun of me... maybe I'm a fucking joke... I should clean up my act."

That just reminded me of that great episode of "Action" where Jay Mohr gets a hummer from some male Hollywood producer in a drunken haze and freaks out about it the next morning.

That was good television. I want Clinton back in office.

Transplants - More than just a Garnier commercial

Rolling Stone reported this week that Tim Armstrong and Travis Barker and friends are releasing a new Transplants album in June, and that Transplants, originally a "side project," will be the main focus for Armstrong and Barker.

Recommendation - use the Amazon link and buy their first CD. It's fantastic, and not just for the single whose hook you've heard on countless beauty product ads. They're also AMAZING live. I saw them open for the Foo Fighters two years ago knowing zero about them. They blew me away.

Bite your tongue, soccer is not done! The MLS season is under way (Go Revs!) and we've got WC qualifiers and international friendlies to look forward to.

Are the NBA Finals worth watching? Does the arena DJ play music throughout the game? I love the college game but watching pro-basketball bores me.

Sadly, yes. The whole effect was a separate rating system. We slipped a couple of times and laughed out loud at them. Do yours tend to flock together? Ours gather in a corner of the bar and admire one another.

I went out to dinner last night (the place was absolutely packed, which I found kind of odd for a monday, but whatever). Anyway, I noticed a *lot* of cosmetic surgery - maybe it was because we were at a sort of fancy place or maybe Monday night is plastic surgery night (egg on my face then). A lot of older women with fake boobs. Not grapefruits like sebby described, but you could tell they had fake ones. I don't really want to look like that when I get older.

I am a little hungover (on a Tuesday! how vulgar), but proud of myself for getting up at 6 am and working out. Yay for me.
