So apparently Gordon Hayes is departing the ever shrinking THT. He's a meaningful loss for them. Who is next? What dates are y'all claimin in the dead pool?
For some details, check out this post on the SB.

Spree: 3 partners leaving Testa September 12, 2 were asked to go, Gordon decided to go.

So, now you've got me curious. What exactly goes on at the Foxy Lady that doesn't go on in Boston? Stories? Rumors?

Late to the party on this one, but the Foxy Lady is well known primarily because it seems to have attracted a number of athletes who immediately get in trouble there or after leaving. Since it's near foxboro, a number of Pats players seem to be the most in trouble, but I recall some Sox players may have had a scuffle or two there.

It's boston's notorious place, like the atlanta place run by mobsters that gave freebies to out-of-town athletes.

Mo Vaughn was always getting stopped on his way back up 95.

Ahh, that's right. Probably doesn't need to worry about that now . . . no games to get back for. He can stay there 24/7. Like Jabba the Hutt.

Here's a project - let's get Photoshop and morph Mo Vaughn's head onto the photo of Jabba. Shouldn't be too difficult, the neck sizes are about the same.

I didn't realize that C3PO hung out at the Foxy Lady.

Anyone else notice that Manny seems to be having fun out there? It's nice to see, he always seemed so dour in the past.

And what is all this "Cowboy up" stuff?

Red Sox v. Cubs - what a depressing World Series that would be.

Why? They can't both lose. although losing that matchup would be even worse.

Besides, the longer the Sox are alive the longer we can avoid dealing with the train wreck that is the Patriots.

[ETA:] And, if things don't go well for the Sox, Mike Hargrove is now available.

I think the loser of that series would be better remembered than the winner.

Kind of like The Fumble. Everyone knows that the Giants fucked up, but do they know the team who scored off The Fumble?

Of course: Herman Edwards of the Eagles.

And the reason people wouldn't know is that was a regular season game, no? If Buckner let the ball through his legs in the regular season, no one remembers it.

If we still couldn't break The Curse with that one, they might as well all go back to Little League.

Ah, but think of the pathos associated with this kind of choke -- ninth inning, on the verge of clinching the series against a pathetic team, and one run up. Pathetic team somehow puts the tying run on third and the winning run on second, and a so-so hitter comes to the plate against the Sox star reliever. A wild pitch lets one score, the winning run moving to second. A little roller to first - it looks like the game!

Then the roller takes a tiny little bounce and the first baseman boots it.

Oh, wait, that's been done?

Well, there has to be a way to top it. Stay tuned.

And to think I abandoned the Mets for these clowns.

Ah, jeez. I've gotta stop rooting for the underdog. I get kicked in the ass every time.
