you can check Canon too. How old is the printer? How expensive is it to replace?
About a year old and about $300, I think.

I'm surprised it's not supported, then. Recently Canon has worked with Macs.

It is, actually -- it's just not on that list to which you linked. I'm guessin that's b/c the all in one already has the driver or some such technological explanation.

Now that I think back on it, the Mac question actually may have figured into my buying decision because I have been thinking of getting a Mac for a long time now. But I am addled and I forgot.

Or because one thing Apple is particularly bad at is updating compatability lists.

Upgrade from Treo 700p to Treo 750 now or wait for iPhone?

All in one printers

Anyone have an all-in-one printer (i.e., a printer that also scans, copies, and faxes)? I'm looking for one that prints in color and has a flatbed scanner and a document feeder. I was considering the HP 7310, but the reviews seem pretty mixed. People like the hardware's functions and quality, but hate the software. Any other recommendations?

Depends on what backend you use. If you use Exchange, the 750 is a great upgrade. You get UMTS/HSPDA and real-time direct-push integration with the exchange server. You also have a QWERTY keyboard.

The iPhone will be EDGE only, and won't integrate as well with corporate email systems.

I have a Brother inkjet at home. Forgot the number but it is one of the ones you can network. Software is great for mac and PC. Can scan to any computer in the house. Only criticism is that it prints slowly but it's not my main printer.

Good. Since my shithole won't pay for a blackberry I only need one of those things for personal email, i.e., managing my porno subscriptions.

I have a brother laser, but not color. It networks. Pony mentioned model a couple weeks ago 7820N, I think. They also make a color all in one, but it's about $700. But it's laser.

Depending on what you have, you might consider getting an BW all-in-one laser for general use, and then a color inkjet only for when you need color.

Shoot. I was drooling over that iPhone, but it sounds like the 750 will be more compatible with our network....

For some of the cheaper lasers you can watch your lights dim when you print.
