So, have they made it exciting enough yet? Will Pedro take a perfect game through nine innings only to see the game lost 1-zip on a 2 out, tenth inning home run?

Or will we again experience the ultimate Red Sox treat and witness a choke against the Yankees?
That scenario's not horrific enough. GAme 1 was more like it.

And, yes, they will have teh same problem as four years ago. By extending to game 5, they already are at a big disadvantage against the Yankees. At least Lowe can start Game 1, but no Pedro until Game 3 (although they'd have him for 7 if needed).

How about in-the-park homer? Double-error? Bad call at home plate?

(Edited to add: what do they do for an encore once they've done Bucky and Buckner?)

No, no. It has to be of the never-seen-before type of miscue. I could imagine something like the baserunning errors by the A's on Saturday being turned around. Winning run nullified because Manny missed third. Or home run hiiter called out for passing runner on basepaths. Or two runs scoring on sac. fly in bottom of 9th. Or Byung-Hyung Kim.

Batting out of order? Although that's hard to do with the announcer.

The Sox screw up a pickle and don't cover the plate.

Or Mannie relives his shining moment. 1 out in the 9th, winning run on base, pop fly to left, he catches the ball, leaps into the air thinking it's the final out of the game and throws/drops the ball, winning run scores and Red Sox fans collectively groan.

Ah, yes. I was thinking of us in Game 1.

I like the two runs on sacrifice fly. That would be a very good choke.

Choking to the A's is a little small time. I think they survive only to really choke to the Yankees. Can you imagine a really nasty screw up against the Yankees in game 5, 6 or 7. That's much more heart breaking. The worst would be getting ousted by Clemens.

He's scheduled for Game 3, right? Against Pedro (if Sox win)? Like 1999? 13-1.

And, just to note, remember that Clemens was responsible for 4 of the 10 straight losses the sox suffered against the A's in the playoffs.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle my ass.

Foxy Lady redux?

There's only two things missing from this story -- a Red Sox (or Patriots) player, and the Foxy Lady.

About time it happened to someone else:

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmp...o_WCVB/1818728

(did Hudson injure muscle in bar fight?)

Maybe the Celtics or Bruins were there. What the heck is he doing out a nightclub in this town during a playoff series? Idiot.

Where is Q?

Looks interesting, I'll have to wander over some time. Hudson should have stuck with Daisy Buchanan's or the Foxy Lady. At least he didn't go to The Squire, they'd still be looking for his body.

Thoughts on Game 5

My heart is pounding so hard, I won't sleep for hours, but a few thoughts...

Do they have top make it so damn exciting?

Since when is Jillian's a sports bar?

Johnny Damon goes down, did they have to show it again and again and again? I was having Thiesman flashbacks.

Why are there so many Sox fans in Oakland?

Will Theo be able to get some solid relievers for next year?

Edited to Add: They're going crazy in Hyde Square*, drums, car horns, dancing in the streets.

*Hyde Square - Dominican neighborhood where Pedro gets his haircut and buys his El Presidente.

Good lord. Red Sox win one damn series for you thankless rubes and you act like Jesus came back. You guys were absolutely killing Pedro and Manny all fucking summer because these guys took a day off after the all star game.
Both of these guys will win a world series. In Yankee uniforms. As Roger will for the last time. You hicks ran Clemens out of town and all he did was win 11 World Series rings and 22 Cy Young awards.

Um, he quit on the sox from 1992 to 1996. He was curiously rejuvenated once his contract was up.

What Else?

Sox in 6.

(Edited to say: pssst, hey everyone, I snuck into their locker room and scrawled on the wall. Go look at the NY Board.)
