Is this for the erswhile husband or the maybe-boyfriend? Or neither?

Mostly I just wanted to say erstwhile. As a little love note to the pretty lady. Or whoever that was w/erstwhile.

Sorry. I don't know what it's like by you, but I think it's the same as here. If you're not in line already, you're not getting in on Thursday. Sorry.

I was going to add, maybe if you flashed your tits, but then I remembered that these geeks are pretty much bullet proof.

Maybe if you show up in a Princess Leia outfit, some geek will want to sit next to you.

the maybe-boyfriend wants to go. He is looking into how to get tickets, but I thought I would also try to find out.

The erstwhile husband and I are going to get together in a few weeks. No more anniversary talk and he sounds a lot happier today.

RP, I am shocked. This is a serious transgression; I will have to confer with the others, but I may have to ask for your badge, madam.

I heard about this abomination on the radio this morning while I was getting dressed, and nearly fell over while stepping into my pants. A dictionary sanctioning the INVENTION OF NEW WORDS?!? Why, it very nearly gave me the vapors (whatever that means).

In fact, when the broadcaster mentioned that "lingweenie" was a favored new word, I thought to myself (as a matter of fact, I think I even said it aloud -- though I was alone at the time...), "Huh -- well, that would be me, I guess."

Yes, I'm a lingweenie, and PROUD OF IT, dammit.
I think they got the lingweenie definition wrong - I would define lingweenie as a language nerd, and think you will find ample evidence of its use in such form on the various conlang sites (start with www.lingweenie.net). You may well be a lingweenie, especially if you're the way you are about English in all your other languages, too.

A Bagginchile got the last four tix for the midnight release here about two weeks ago, so, if we're representative of the rest of the country, forget it.

Well, my date seems to think he can get tickets today somehow. I guess I will leave it in his capable hands.

Do they sell movie tickets online for a theater near you? Around here, some do and some don't.

The Not Bobette and I saw the last one at a midnight showing. There were some strange folk there, but it was kinda fun.

I'm not embarassed by the remark. It was funny in context. And if you think that I have any need whatsoever to prove my humanitarian cred, then go fuck a Cambodian midget wrestler.

I've got it tivo'd but I'm not even sure I want to waste 1 1/2 hours fast forwarding through it. Is it worth it since I already know the ending?
If you've been watching it to this point, an honest answer would be wasted on you.

Good luck. And don't forget your Princess Leia outfit. Ross says it's a real turnon. (Friends, season 3, episode 1 )

I've also been told that there's an anti-Bush subtext - see if you see it.

hmm. Well, my maybe-boyfriend just got tickets for Thursday online. So maybe the people lining up are just lining up for the midnight showing.

C-3PO finally gets kicked out for a don't-ask-don't-tell violation?
