It should. I'm pretty sure the charging feature and the syncing feature operate independently of each other.

That's right. I charge my mac-centric iPod on my Dell machine at work all the time. Just be sure and decline the prompt that asks if you would like to re-format the iPod.

The PC will charge it.

Next question: Does your shuffle not make it through the morning commute without needing a recharge?

Quite the contrary. My shuffle lasts months w/o a recharge.

That's what I thought. I just got one, and have been wondering since the first charge when the yellow "low charge" light would come on.

For all the complaints about the earlier iPods' battery life, when I did the test to see whether I could claim a refund, I put it on play and let it go for a while. It was still running 5 hours later, and had lots of juice left.

I have an older-generation Nano and the battery life just plain sucks ass.

I have to charge it every other gym work out and if I leave it alone for more than two days it's stone-cold dead with the date set at 1/1/00.

I use and am a fan of the Bluespoon Ax2 by Danish company Nextlink . It's small, cheap, and reliable, and works very well with my BlackBerry.

I have also heard good things about the Jabra JX10 and the Aliph Jawbone , which is a bone-conduction headset and supposedly has the best noise cancellation on the market.
